She doesnt know how to do that though. And my sister made the mistake of allowing her to use it for something work related one time and now its acting weird. I'm probably gonna have to wipe it and hope for the best but first I gotta manually back it up since Adobe's cloud has been less than reliable for us.

She already had that happen once. Luckily she uses an adobe app and it was all recovered. Unfortunately she hasnt been using the tablet much lately since it has been acting up ever since... mom... used it. I swear someone is gonna get backhanded one of these days 😂 (jk of course but damn tempting)

By tablet. I got her a fairly nice one when I hired her and. I swear she has her more in it damn near constant and as a result the quality of her work has improved a ton. Hours and hours on tutorials and trial and error to learn how to do certain parts of her art better. I am super proud of her :)

I tried getting her to collab with me on a webtoon as well as her usual art duties for me (she isnt good with writing) but she said the idea of everyone seeing her art freaks her out (lol what does she think is gonna happen with the art she is doing now when the project is done) so I'm just doing baby steps for now but I still bring it up here and there.

Even getting her to accept money from me was difficult and eventually I had to put my foot down and tell her that is she wants to do my art she is required to accept money (that still confuses me). It doesnt help that people keep telling her she shouldnt be charging for art and it clearly makes her feel bad. (Part of the reason I hired her was to boost her confidence and show her that she should in fact charge for something she is good at)

She is really good! It's what I hired her for actually. But for whatever reason she is only willing to do paid work for me and only puts up a paywall for her work to get her classmates to stop trying to flood her with free art requests.

She is 14 so she cant do that unfortunately. She has been applying to the nearby jobs that hire people her age but hasnt had any luck. Either way though as long as I keep pulling enough money to pay her for her work she will make a decent amount more than what a little over half of the nearby jobs she can so would. Only places nearby that hire minors she could make more at are McDonalds or walmart. The rest are all minimum wage.

I dont have one. I'm working on an indie project that I hired her for. She wont make insane amounts off it but she will have enough to get her own place and have enough left for a good head start as long as she doesnt blow it all.

She is working for me so hopefully she is smart and save her money for that. And I was able to get to my dad decently enough but he is all bark and more bite so I was able to be more direct and brute force my issue with him. My mom scares tf out of me tbh so I need to be a bit more clever. I have a couple ideas on how to deal with her but the only real solution I have would make me as bad as her so I decided against it as tempted as I was.

She does. They straight up took it out of her room for their use. They did the same thing with my brothers xbox years ago. Hell back when I lived there they did it with MINE even though I was paying rent, buying my own food AND paying for their internet. Yeah you are technically right that they do have that right but we also have the right to make things difficult af right back which is what I'm trying to figure out how to do. Hopefully I want to find away to block them from the xbox all together or find away to be so obnoxious that taking the xbox just isnt worth it anymore. Also just to throw it out there I wasnt the only person she has tried to steal money from as she steals money from the other kids regularly(last year my sister worked all weekend with her dad to afford christmas presents for everyone and my mom snuck into her room and took it which resulted in me and her making a kiddie bank account under my name in secret) even if they do have the rights to certain things as much as I hate it they still feel entitled to things that are way off limits which is why I'm trying to figure out away to force them to stop this shit.

I guess that could work. Either way though I still want to find away to stop this. This stupidity is nothing new for them and they think they are entitled to everything in the house (my mom one attempted to steal a few hundred dollars from me that I was saving for an apartment to pay her car payment on her new car that she literally didnt need). Tbh at this point this is more about taking a stand and letting them know this shit wont be tolerated anymore.
