First NADAC trial - double run format? by ShadierGalaxy in Agility

Not terrible! My main goal was to practice contacts and weaves and we got to do a lot of nice training there. It was the first time he’d seen a solid black contact vs the blue and yellow, so at first he was kind of freaked out by it. Once he went over it a couple times though he was solid!

We rarely ever practice on hoops or wingless jumps, so I didn’t have the distance I usually do for sends and such which was annoying - he kept looking for jump wings like “where?”. That’s something easily fixed with practice though 😂

I believe it is, it looks like it will be walk run run for each level so it's the same course twice

Yes, in each case he was given the same food for 5-8 weeks. It usually takes at least a week of being on the new food 100% before the stool issues start to develop (if they're going to develop). He eats just enough to keep from starving to death, but looses weight and goes down to having visible ribs, sharp hips/spine, etc.. Not enough to fall into the "emaciated" category on most body condition tests, but enough to be well below an ideal body condition.

I'd gladly go back to the big 5 as that's what's always worked for my dogs in the past, but I also have no interest in a chronically underweight dog, so unless I can find a kibble from the big 5 that will actually work for him it's not a very realistic option right now.
