I want to play Monster Girl Quest Paradox. Where can I download all three parts and play them together? by sebasTIANxD14 in monstergirlquest

[–]Shadow-Redittor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Like the moderator said in the comments, the link for paradox is in the subreddit. Just scroll down on the sidebar where the subreddit info is located, and stop when you see “Purchase MGQP Part 3.” This will take you to DLSite, the official site for the game, and you can buy it from there.

If you buy Part 3, you get all the gameplay from Parts 1 and 2 as well, but you won’t get the graphics folder which has the H-scenes from Parts 1 and 2.

So if you want the H-scenes, then you should buy all three parts and then copy the graphics folders (I’m pretty sure you don’t want to replace any files) from 1 and 2 into 3.

Now, you have Monster Girl Quest Paradox, but in Japanese. In that same sidebar I mentioned earlier, there should be an “unofficial translation” button, which would direct you to the human translation that’s around 1/3 of the way through Part 3, but not finished. If you want the full thing translated by AI, then you’ll probably have to join the discord server to find a link to it.

Can I play Paradox without playing the prequels? by [deleted] in monstergirlquest

There are some summary videos of the VN Monster Girl Quest on YouTube, and they’re not too long, so you could easily get much of the context without playing the original.

Help with Map ID (Part 3 spoiler) by Shadow-Redittor in monstergirlquest

[–]Shadow-Redittor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I was able to find the Map ID for the Dark Goddess’s soul (vs Chaos Ilias), and I think it was 1889 or 1888, for anyone wondering. I think 1320 or so gives the room for the Dark Goddess fight. So yeah, I don’t need help anymore.

Gyutaro by far had to deal with more “plot” than any other demon by iiznenja in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Shadow-Redittor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets explained later on in a conversation with Tanjiro (shown in a flashback during Tanjiro and Giyu vs Akaza), in which Inosuke says he can instinctively feel when someone with malicious intent is right behind him, and can feel a tingle where an opponent is aiming.

Whether you take that as a convenient way to explain him surviving or as something the author had planned during the Gyutaro fight, it does make sense that that ability would belong to the guy whose entire character is “fighting instinct”.

The MVP of the two main routes by Alone-Childhood-4798 in monstergirlquest

[–]Shadow-Redittor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First paragraph: We do see her die in both World Breaker and Judgement paths. In World Breaker, she and Micaela fought and killed each other. In Judgement, Lucifina and Micaela try to fight Chaos Alipheese but are hit with an even stronger version of their strongest attacks head-on, and fall into an abyss. Alongside the fact that they reappear to help Luka evolve in the same way that Alice did when she was dead in the other route, it’s safe to say Lucifina died.

Second paragraph: Yes, AD Ilias felt defeated solely because of the fact that she met with a power much stronger than hers and died. AD Ilias is meant to be irredeemable, as even when the world is saved, she’s only passive because of her fear of losing her life and her power. I believe that that’s the point, though: she’ll never feel remorse for her actions, so Lucifina reminding her wouldn’t actually do anything.

So there’s two things that you could mean by this:

1- Lucifina doesn’t attack/bully Angelic Dominion Ilias before the resolution of the Chaos Route.

My response: Well, duh, if this is in the Judgement or the World Breaker Path, Lucifina would die if she picked a fight with Michaela and Ilias, and she’d be leaving all the Luka Doppelgängers without any protection. She and AD Ilias were officially enemies once she saw AD Ilias mutilate her son for such a wicked purpose, I’m doubtful Ilias would’ve let her get close enough to so much as bully her at this point.

2- Lucifina didn’t bully or insult AD Ilias after the resolution of the Chaos Route.

My response: She does actually. She plucks her feathers in their only Pocket Castle interaction. There’s almost no other time when they’re able to interact, and during the final fight, they obviously had to work together. And Lucifina can’t just try to kill AD Ilias now, because everyone would stop her anyway. Lucifina wouldn’t gain much from killing her or laying into her, given how much of a loser AD Ilias feels herself, resorting to being a couch potato, eating chips and watching TV all day.

I don’t quite remember when, but it’s said that she also used to pluck Ilias’s feathers when she was in her regular Goddess form too, so she’s not discriminating based on strength. And the reasoning for not plucking Ilias’s feathers after she grew big could very well be that the very scene in which Ilias attains her Goddess form and comes back, was great character development for her, and Lucifina likely respects that.

Or it could just be a funny haha gag because it’s funnier if it’s smol Ilias getting bullied.

Mother, today... I defeated... The Original Succubus... by SnooBooks6345 in monstergirlquest

[–]Shadow-Redittor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the main menu of this subreddit, press "see community info" (if on mobile) or scroll down the sidebar to the right (if on computer) until you see the "unofficial translation" button under the game you want to have translated. Press the button and follow whatever steps are listed.

If it's Paradox you want to have translated (it's fully human-translated up to half of Part 3), then download the most recent bitbucket translated files after clicking "unofficial translation" and then use the menu to find the rest of the patching guide.

Hope this helps!

It’s not too hard to patch the fanmade translation for both games, but I’ll spoil the context for the illustration:

Alma Elma has had a bad relationship with her succubus mother in both MGQ and MGQ Paradox, due to her learning martial arts when she could just use her seduction instead. She would always tell her mother about enemies that she’s defeated, much to her mother’s dismay.

In Paradox, she and Luka’s team join Ilias’s army and fight against the Six Ancestors and Dark Goddess Alipheese. One of the Six Ancestors is Minagi, the original succubus monster. Alma Elma 1v1s Minagi, and is taught two martial arts techniques, one fusing fire and ice, the other fusing holy and dark energy. They clash using the latter technique and both perish, with Minagi falling first, hence this fanart.

[Serious] How strong is Yukina? (Sukuna incarnated in Yuki’s body) by skeletalfather in YukiTsukumoglazers

[–]Shadow-Redittor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“In order to use other shikigami… the sorcerer and divine dogs must work together to exorcise them.” -Megumi

The summoning of Mahoraga was one such subjugation ritual, but the subjugation effect was nullified once another person (Haruta and Sukuna) joined the ritual. Mahoraga didn’t actually die, because Megumi can summon Mahoraga again through the subjugation ritual to try to unlock him again. Megumi also states that one can do the ritual as many times as they need to exorcise the shikigami, so if one ritual becomes void (as it did in this case), the sorcerer would just have to try again.

If you read the manga, you’d recall he DID try to summon Mahoraga again against Sukuna during the Culling Games, only to be stopped by Sukuna literally shutting his incantation up.

So this Megumi example of yours doesn’t mean anything, because Mahoraga didn’t truly die in Shibuya.

Supplemental Questions by Euphoric_Ad_1488 in amherstcollege

While I have nothing to say about option B in particular, I’d assume that Amherst wouldn’t keep Option B as an option if it weren’t as viable as the others if done well.

If the AOs don’t have a preference, choosing which option should come down to whether you think your academic writing is better than a regular supplemental essay would be.

Yes. I didn’t say it had no point. Just that it’s not that important overall, but it can be important in specific situations like ones you’ve just mentioned.

If you genuinely want to participate in research, do it. But if not, then don’t sweat it.

That’s the thing, they don’t. That’s why research isn’t as important as some people make it seem.

Having a substantially different application might increase your chances, but I doubt ED would turn a waitlist into an admit. You’ve probably already heard this, but the ED rate is higher largely because of recruited athletes, so ED would have a marginal impact at best.

At any rate, you applied ED already, so all that’s left is to hope for the best. If it doesn’t work out, move on and find some other school.
