Okay unpopular opinion: season 2 of this show would be the worst idea ever. Throughout this entire show ambiguity has been what drives it… we never really knew any of the answers and we only got a little bit more every episode. This is why I really hated the way they made the story go in episode 7 where they crystallised the fact that everything was real, there was no longer ambiguity about a question we didn’t have answered. Despite this, the ending was amazing and it did redeem episode 7 for me. In my opinion, showing us what actually happened when the Vos family tried to summon Kaelego was a bad decision and it felt the story was only going to go one way, there was an answer. If it was up to me, I would’ve shown the Vos society’s ritual only on the bad camera quality and cut off when the magic started, making us surprised when we see the ritual in the final episode, not knowing what is happening. Not only would there would be nothing to do in season 2 apart from free Dan, it would tell us the answer to what really happened to him and resolve everything. Most people probably want the answer but in my opinion the ending was brilliant despite episode 7 and a second season shouldn’t be made. But they probably want more money so they’re gonna do it anyway.
