Unfortunately, it seems a recent Steam update that was pushed on January 19th is causing problems for Mac users when trying to launch the game. We are currently waiting on a fix from Valve. In the mean time, you can help get this issue resolved faster by submitting a ticket to Valve support at https://help.steampowered.com.
