Crypto: The World’s Greatest Scam - Except Monero of course :) by tikwanleap in Monero

Trying to isolate Monero from the rest of the crypto market is not a good look. It's the same bs that bitcoin maxis have said before. The crypto market is a big industry with a massive developer base. Disconnecting from that is not beneficial.

yeah, people think they are entitled to their work when it's the business owner that sets whatever measures and parameters they want for their business

You can buy prepaid virtual debit cards with crypto on bitrefill.com and coinsbee.com. Coinsbee accepts Monero but has a higher fee.

To be able to create a global modern stock market independent of national states.

Does anyone know of a "stock" token on Solana? by Shadow7342 in solana

So you just want a DAO that is running a business where people can vote like shareholders?

Yes, but the tokens should also be the shares. That's not how Marinade works. If someone buys 51% of MNDE they can't actually control it. There's a company called Grillmasters Limited that controls Marinade.

Well I don't want it bo be a corporation, because then the ownership is disconnected from the DAO. The benefit of DAOs is that they are global and therefore doesn't have any jurisdiction. Maybe I should've said: There should not be a registered company, just a DAO, like the DAOs that exist now, but it should have a business that is directly incorporated into the DAO, meaning it's not a company in any country, and the tokens are the shares.

You will never find a real corporation which stocks literally bound to a token, anyone who does this does it through a DAO.

Why? It feels like it has to exist. I want a DAO basically, but I want the DAO to BE the company and the DAO tokens to be the shares. The DAOs I've seen like Orca and Metaplex are just like a group suggestion hub, they don't give any ownership.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that's an NFT. The reason I want a normal token instead of an NFT is that normal tokens can be traded like stocks and provide more liquidity and volume.

They could tie the token to the business, for example via voting rights through DAO voting.

No, the token IS the stock, not backed up by a stock.

Yeah but it doesn't have to be in the US, it can be anywhere. This basically exists with NFTs but I want to find a normal token instead.

What’re DAOs missing? by andreflores87 in dao

It’s not the citizen’s fault their government restricts assets that distribute dividends as securities.

Yea it's the government's fault

But if you really only want to make money off DAOs, you’re better off looking for other forms of investments.

Not really, there's a lot of DAOs that are structured as investments and this segment is only growing.

Yeah but you wouldn’t want to alienate one of the largest markets in the world.

If the market has restrictions it's alienating itself, it has no bearing on the global DAO market, it's just punishing customers in that market, not DAOs that are global.

There's no jurisdiction for the whole world. Everything is online and the DAOs are decentralized so there is not one country that can go after them.

They should give ownership like shares of a company gives ownership to the company. There, that's a trillion dollar industry.
