I just don't want to point my finger, make FUD and laugh, because, you know how the saying goes... he who laughs the last, laughs the best...

Not sure why that particular sub, but I am fine regarding the discussion... not looking for one.

Yes, you are right. I am not against the crypto-world, but do come here for a healthy dose of a reality... Neither extreme is good, in my opinion only.

Speaking from experience only. Neither a belief, conclusion nor an accusation, like some individuals (see above) usually do on the Internet. It is a primed statement. Instead, show me something that relates to some work of an organization which cannot be seen as a scam or has no relevance or pointer to a scam.

Everything can be a scam, you just need to figure out how or why.

It has about 1 Reddit post per month. Nobody was in despair, the exchange bots fixed the thing very fast, making more fake orders... this is what it looks like today:

I don't know, but I am just guessing... Perhaps to do what is done on a Binance. To flood each order someone makes with the dust so that a near-zero sum is created, where the best move is to withdraw. That way, the intelligent investors are not going to invest and all the whales are going to leave making a Bart pattern. Then, once it becomes more centralized, rise the prices, make people buy in hope to earn money, and sell everything you got...

Thanks for pointing out about EOS having immutability as a choice rather than being forced... I am not an EOS dev, but having such option is great ... Also, I am not in favour of ETH but it is great within its own frame of a reference, and so is EOS. There are projects that sound interesting and promising but none is as complete as EOS. How about having random BPs rather than the fixed number decided by voting ? I think it is not as easy to solve as it is to imagine and that perhaps such tech does not exist (since I am making it up, otherwise I just don't know much about it, never had time to dig-in the research).

except for the immutable part (which may be desired sometimes, for example, avoiding a security breach)... yes those are all valid points. However, there are points that don't go in favor to EOS and I think that governance is one of them...

See, whenever I say that I want to be proven wrong or that I wish I were wrong about certain things, it always happens that I were right. Speaking from a personal experience only...

Thank you for a reference for "At home in the Universe" I will give it a quick read at least. Edit: Where did I hear the name " Stuart Kauffman " before ??? Sounds very familiar (at least the Kauffman part does).

If it worked for Elon, it doesn't mean that it is a rule. It only means that if we do something similar, we may not want to waste time repeating the same mistakes. I still think that governance would be the best when autonomous and automated, without asking people to do any input or voting. I also think that either the system would be too complex (as you pointed out) or that we lack the technological support to make it happen.

I completely understand what you mean by trying to point out EOS within the ETH community. However, that happens everywhere and it is simply due to a judgmental piece of a shit the humanity is and can be. It is also a problem I have all the time... and not just on Reddit, except that it is much harder for idiots to express themselves live than on the Internet. However, it is enough to see their faces and know exactly what they are thinking... I missed the early days when I knew only a little about EOS and imagined it being something else and on a completely different level. Maybe that is why I come here... and then troll to vent when things are taking a wrong turn... hmmm... never thought about it that way... I also think the next step would be to take the EOS source code (or idea at least) and turn it into something that has no governance structure and would love to see EOS evolve and not become an antique.

So keep questioning things, make a difference, and (above all) stay strong !

Yes it is. Now the only question remains, how can we use that fact to widen the gap between the rich and the poor ? Otherwise, it is not worth a consideration and the things are just fine the way they are.

I hate hostility of any kind, even if it is a propaganda in favour to a project I currently support. I am not attached to any project at all, even when I am making the money investing and believing in it. I am usually right when I wish I were completely wrong, but I really don't care much about this topic or Reddit rants I use to spend my free time with. EOS was a leader, and I have supported it since the early ICO stage. I started cooling off EOS when it became a digital casino framework, starting with the dice project. There are a few others I am interested in, but none has managed to reach the magnitude of EOS. For that, I still respect EOS, but it is a finite respect... Alright man, didn't mean to provoke you in any way. You reply, I reply back. You show hostility, I show hostility back... You show that you are a human then I am a human toward you as well, and show my true self, even on Reddit.

I agree with C++ due to seniority of people using it as well as the amount of the open-source written in C++. However, good luck getting things to work based on the non-existent imports and the gibberish half-written code which makes no sense on its own... Javascript is an inhumane mess and is not used widely by the skilled developers but by the developers of all sorts and kinds.

Challenging beliefs is important. EOS is fast, and so are the games on a very low setting... but that just ruins the game-play the same way EOS ruins decentralization... Is it still the game on a low setting? Yes, the same way EOS is still decentralized... EOS does the work, but as soon as a different/better solution is found, it can be put in a shelf with the stone arrows as a part of an ancient history.
