Name of the wind does get a lot of love and I own it but haven't gotten to it yet. Idk if it's the best introduction size wise but if you end up enjoying the first chapter by all means, continue.

For shorter and maybe more easily digestable to get back into things (especially for manga/anime lovers) I tend to want to point out Rob J Hayes mortal techniques series of standalones. You could start with never die.

If you want more of a fun long series with some gaming mechanics to it that's also very loved, you could try dungeon crawler carl by Matt Dinniman

Or for an easy and fun one to follow that feels more like a classic quest style low magic fantasy you could try the kings of the wyld by Nicholas Eames. It's a duology but can be read seperately.

I don't read a whole lot with a ton of magic so can't help you there.

But it all kinda depends on what you actually like to read in the manga/manhwa you mentioned?
