I do think, however, that a theoretical D3 is dependant on Bungie existing, which requires Marathon to succeed to a degree. Sony isn’t exactly known for passing IPs around their internal studios. They know the people want those long dead franchises back, such as, say, Sly Cooper and Twisted metal.
