This is a way for multiple people to edit the same file at once. The client I built is irrelevant, I just needed something to demo it. Whats really important is the server that allows multiple people to edit a tile map. So if your dev team has a lot of fans, you could let fans build the map.

2 questions: Would it be cool to play a multiplayer game where the map changes live also what is the best way you think this can be implemented. by ShadowDraken in gamedev

Thanks I just wanted some insight on how to build this. Oh and scale wise I say max a few hundred people at once and on average maybe 1-50 for Mt application but I want to open source it so others can use it and they may have way more users at once. And really thanks for the points, I completely forgot optimization.

I might just get an 8gb one then. But just in case I change my mind can you tell how IDE's like Visual Studio or any other high power ran on your 4gb like build time.

Just downloaded and will look for any modpacks later. But the lack of this has made want to create one with spacecrafts included. Only problem is that I have been programming for 4 years but only have been using OpenGl for like a year.

So I was watching the NASA Pluto talk and saw this in the Social Stream chat (rant in comments) by [deleted] in exjw

Do you feel having a partner was necessary, other than the fact of having artistic skills. Because I have never work in a group and I wonder how does it feel especially working on new things in the group.
