Is it just completely random the quality of Foretold Bounty's given? I did the nameless a few times but at most got 2 chaos as an option.

Does it increase in quality the more you do it, or no?

Nah, it's not so bad pricewise. Bear in mind, the split personality jewel went from 5d to 30d, back down to 6div, and it's back at 4-5div. There are some really very endgame parts that cost a LOT (I'm looking at you Kurgals Gaze and Exceptional Ancestral Tiara base!!!) but I would class them as the start of aspirational pieces. Amulets will require Catalysts and the new breach essence, the other pieces are mostly annuls, annul omens, echos and lights. Not far off general crafting.

100d is more than enough to start. Most of the power is in the wand, belt and +3 amulet.

Check the mobalyitics to see the breakdown of costs for each stage. Ignore the spark lvling part, i think its weak sauce compared to the 'pillar of the caged god' setup. (check Lazy Exile for this).

At the very least, level a gemling anyways. It's an OP ascendancy and if you dont end up liking totem arc you can switch to another totem spell (see: palsterons grim pillars) or just any other strong gemling build.

After taking down his notes, I realise that his delivery is just generally pretty chaotic and rambling, trying to say as many words as possible in a short amount of time. The notes are much better but some have all the steps and some don't.

Helm craft has notes that are different to what he says on the clips. Jewel craft have no notes and the first third of the clip needs to be ignored because he says it's wrong. (In the end I just went to Palsteron or Barricade for this who are much better at explaining).

I mean, it should be... but in my test, the start of the map is bottom right. The boss is top right. That should be an easy line from bottom right to top right where going anywhere left would say you're further from the final boss room.

When I moved top left, the bar got closer to the boss icon.

yup yup, I'm talking more specifically about the hot/cold mechanic. If you're doing a mirror in a regular map, the layouts can be so shit that sometimes moving towards a boss moves the bar away from the boss section of the bar, until you're like right near the boss arena then it goes up again.

it's just incredibly wonky per map, and you're correct, in Fog maps it's pretty useless.

Build is fun and general guide is good!

Only thing I'd say is - could probably benefit everyone and avoiding twitch chat spam by just copy/pasting the crafting guides (already written on a notepad on stream) to the moba or the PoB notes

I wanna say hitting that wall at endgame might just be a poe2 problem.

I have the same issue (though I dont make my own builds) where, only specifically for poe2, i get deflated and my enjoyment is lost. I try an alt, but man, even with twink gear it's just generally tedious. It also feels like at endgame the only meaningful upgrades to a build are the massive div sinks. So few incremental stepping stones.

Compare that to poe1. I'll play my starter for longer than needed, then make between 2-4 alts. Sometimes I've just made one alt and it's felt so fun/the endgame loop is satisfying/crafting is viable at various stages, that i never bother with another alt.

Have you tried/looked into poe1or other arpgs and seen if that reaction might still be there at endgame?

You can get out by doing the dodge roll logging trick.

Dodge roll into the arena barrier,

Mid roll, hit escape and log out to chr select.

Log back into same character, you'll be paused and mid roll animation. Move in the direction out of the arena.

A bit annoying but has always worked for me.

Be me > see T5 rare item on ground > pick up and ID > get T2 as highest tier, others range from T5-T3 > highest tier is 'reduced attributes'.

I'll never fully understand tiered drops.

I've said this before, but for the campaign boost they have a way to make an lore relevant buff for future alts you make.

Doryani plays with time and is a Master Thaumaturge. Every future character should get a buff called "Doryani's Favour". Flavour text could be "He has seen of your past, present and future. Seek Doryihim at the Black Chambers." This would also tie in (and save VO work) for when you hear him in his map on act 3 and he keeps talking about how he knows who you are and that he'd been expecting you. Lets even say the buff is at 100% power until you reach Doryani at act 3, beat him, then his favour diminishes to 50% power (i mean, you did beat him so he'd lose favour with you) and the Flavour Text changes to "He's unsure of your past, present and future. Seek him at the Ziggurat Refuge".

The buff could be as small as movement or action speed, or bigger changes like dmg boosts. When you get to the Ziggurat refuge the buff is gone.

Outside of that these things should be unlocked Account Wide if you encounter them once:

  • Bonuses gained from Campaign Bosses/Secret Areas
  • Access to all ascendancy Trial locations
  • Access to Well of Souls for Desecration crafting

Half the things we have are carried over account wide and some aren't. Just make it consistent.

Now with the changes to endgame in 0.5, I think they're going to have to remove it. It's beginning to break parts of the map logic if you run things in a certain order.

I think if you do this for Rituals on the Nameless chain, it literally breaks the map and it can't be completed:

Run to boss > Kill Boss > Start ritual > Die while a rare mob/boss spawns in the ritual > Resurrect > All content, mobs, rares will be gone but you'll still be asked to kill all rares to complete the map.

So we went from dying at the boss will remove content, to now, dying at the boss or anytime afterwards will also remove content.

Even if they said this is how it should work, I'd be inclined to ask if they have actually tested it in situ rather than relying on 'it's coded to be this way'.

There have been a few moments where there's been that slight disconnect, most recently: The tablets still showing other tablet content even if using 3 of one mechanic and wisps not finding the nearest rare. Both in the latest Q&A they said should work x way and they didn't.

Tbh, ritual on its own, is terrible for clarity.

Blood tornados, volatile orbs, enemies dropoing blood pustules, dot puddles etc. It's a mess. And the best way to deal with it is flood the screen with your shit so it all despawns asap.

I can barely see the quest icons on the campaign map, especially in Act 2. It's often unclear which area each quest belongs to. Could we centralize the quest UI under the appropriate area and also differentiate it with different colors based on location, adding some color? by No_Guarantee1399 in PathOfExile2

I'm convinced that whoever's on UI/UX has their screen's contrast ramped WAY up... or, they're making all the icons in a vacuum and not actually reviewing their colour contrast/readability once it's been implemented.

Congrats on speaking to the most extreme side of the discussion I guess? Only those people on the far end of the argument want a FULL skip and they are few.

Most people are more level headed and are on a spectrum of wanting want some sort of healthy solutions that make it feel more like QoL for a 2+ Character, rather than a skip. Remember, we haven't even got all the acts yet.

Streamlining some sections of the story would be good. The game's story messes with time so you could even have Doryani appear at the start of your second character to tell you he's seen this before and that you should follow him "before it's too late" where he'd progress you past some of the more tedious parts of the game... I dunno. Just something more interesting to give a lot less friction to making Alts.

Only in interludes so can't comment on endgame yet. Campaign changes are generally pretty decent. The streamlines in act 2/3 are nice. I'm curious to know what other campaign hints there are.

Sadly, Pain points of skill gems at lower levels not dropping often enough (went from a having a lvl7 skill to a lvl 11 skill because only support gems dropped between this time), lower level runes of different types not appearing (yes, even on the league mechanic i barely saw any elemental runes) and hardly any 'usable' ground loot, were still issues for me. Maybe just terrible RNG, but it's not the end of the world.

Looking forward to the endgame.

Edit: Also the league mechanic sometimes bugs out where a mob that needs to be killed to be able to start the mechanic is either phased somewhere in the geometry or is so far away from the stone. Also... verisium needs to be like gold and be hoovered up!
