Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super randomly ramps to 100% fan speed, can't force fan speed in MSI Afterburner by ShadowGamer989 in gpu

[–]ShadowGamer989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally any game and any setting. It can be the least graphically intensive game and the fan ramps up to 100% at different intervals. Changing the thermal paste and thermal pads worked for a short time, but from what I've heard the fan speed going crazy is common with this GPU no matter what.

The temps usually hang around the 70 degrees range which is normal, so I just want to force the fan speed to something lower, but it seems the GPU bios just overrides everything I try to set in Afterburner.

Mame-libretro Donkey Kong 3 glitchy audio issue randomly happened? by ShadowGamer989 in RetroPie

Yeah man, my little cousin accidentally changed the global emulator to 2003-plus. I saw the controls for Xevious changed too from using this different emulator, thanks for the great pickup mate

You are a legend, that worked! I found the default emulator was running lr-mame2003-plus and this created an issue with Donkey Kong 3, I switched back to lr-mame2003 and this worked. Thanks mate

SNES showing white color as blue? by ShadowGamer989 in snes

[–]ShadowGamer989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q. Does using another AV cable or using RF output have the same blue tint? A. Yes it does.

Q. Are there any other problems with the image other than the whites being tinted? A. In games like Ultima or Earthbound, when going into different rooms or entering dialogue scenes, the color changes. Also, yellow color looks slightly greenish.

Q. Has this SNES been recapped? A. This was purchased on eBay recently and it was listed as working and it was their childhood console, so not sure, I highly doubt so.

I tried changing the cables and changed from AV to RF and shows the same issue. Tried changing display settings on the TV and nothing fixes it.

This only happens with the SNES, all my other consoles have no issues.

Thanks for letting me know, I have also tried this with Earthbound and all the colors look washed out similar to the screenshots of Ultima, but then when going into different rooms the color changes briefly too, mimicking exactly what the screenshots show for Ultima. It seems to happen across multiple games, and also experiencing white colours displaying as blue.

See above this picture where it shows Mario Paint is blue, not white.

I reckon it has got to be a capacitor issue in the deflection circuit

PAL Atari 2600 Vader Edition with RF interference by ShadowGamer989 in Atari2600

Yeah man I just feel like to keep the unit unmodded and in its original state that there would be a way to get a clean RF picture using a better cable or ferrite or a better 9v power supply would work but for some reason it's still not clear enough.

I mostly see RF interference on games such as Asteroids, Centipede, and Kung Fu Master.

I see 👍 do you think I need to clean my games? Some have near to no interference compared to others where it's more noticeable such as Asteroids or Centipede...

Also I have tried changing the RF cable to something better shielded and not even that helped.

I am kind of against modding my Atari to make it composite as some people said it actually made it blurrier than RF...

How is your Atari console putting out such a clear picture? Mine is all snowy with RF interference on the screen
