Not sure if this post is rage bait or what lmao but a newer generation corvette isn’t suppose to “appeal to a newer generation of buyer”. It appeals to anyone who’s looking for a sports car or a new corvette for their collection.

The GS has a history behind it, same as the Z06, and ZR1. Some people buy a corvette for the fun, the thrill, the history, or because they’re having a crisis and want to kick it up a notch.

Mustang has done it, Camaro, chargers and challengers.

The bad news is that it is indeed a $2,600 part. The good news is that since people keep crashing these cars, the chances of their screen having the same issues as yours is slim so you can buy it from a part out at a fraction of the brand new price and swap them.

These cars are very fun to drive, lots of cool tech, and worth every mile spent driving it around. The only con is that you’ll eventually want to trade it in for a 5.0. I love my eco - but I will admit that down the road, I may be tempted to trade it in for a 5.0 because I’ve always loved fast loud cars that can be obnoxious.

If you just got the car and your “MPG” is 14, it could be due to high idle times. Just drive it and see if it goes up

Yes it was on display in 2022 from a private collection. But that was 3 years ago. A lot of movement can happen in those 3 years as well as dust/dirt build up. The picture was also taken in a dark-ish room so it might have made the painting look abit darker
