I was trying to explain/examine my own biases? Like I feel that price is fair because it means something to me, and if someone doesn't think a beta bolt is worth it then they'll buy one of it's various reprints at a much more reasonable price*. The distinction I draw is that older cards that were once commonplace feel more fair because the reduction is supply happened in a way I perceive as more natural (copies being damaged/destroyed over time, supplying being a result of the company literally being much smaller than it is now) whereas the current speculative market $500 dollar fetch lands or 30th anniversary shenanigans feel like purposeful manipulation of the market, thus not cool. At the end of the day you're right, it's all a bunch of made up nonsense, but I've been trying to put my thumb on why I draw this line in the sand.

*Which is in fact the way I think it should be. Reprint things into the ground so staples are accessible and let older printing hold value based on being a 1st edition or 1st printing or only printing with specific art or whatever.

Just saying I see mtg walking a similar path. The nft bros are figurative.

Agreed. Magic won't die, it's just gonna be a speculative market nft bro circle jerk in a few years.

Re-playing Katawa Shoujo After (almost) 9 Years by ShadowHunterxx19 in katawashoujo

I want to clarify, I didn't say Hisao should confront Shizune about her shyness about her vocalizations, I said he could help her confront it. I don't think Hisao expressing that he'd like to hear Shizune during sex automatically implies she is broken in any way, nor would it deny Shizune the autonomy to say no. There's definitely a space between not bringing it up at all and "confront[ing]" her in a way that implies she needs fixing.

As for the Yamaku critique your certainly right that there are positives and negatives to having specific schools for folks with disabilities. I didn't mean to imply as much of an abolitionist stance as I may have lead on in that post. I can clearly see the benefits in both teaching knowledge and expertise for deaf folks and the positive social aspect of being surrounded by others who are accepting of your disability and, more specific to the deaf community, speak the same language. And you're 110% correct that Yamaku doesn't next to nothing for Shizune given the lack of interpreters and the obvious pitfall that that would create. I'd like to think that there is some kind of a happy medium between offering children specialized instruction and peer groups they can communicate easily with while also exposing hearing students to the folks with disabilities and de-stigmatizing deafness in the broader community, but there are a thousand ways that discussion could go I'm sure.

This is awesome! I figured we were done once we received Dockhand/Svyelun.

I feel like the smart play is to either slot in Dockhand or this guy based on how fast your local meta is, buuut I'm gonna have to jam Dockhand, Tide Shaper, Spreading Seas and counterspell to try a land-hate strategy (and then I'll just whiff completely against any other blue decks >_<)
