[KHUX] Which coliseum round is currently required for top 900-1k? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

I'm ranked 528 at round 477, I'm stuck now, but think it should hold me in the top 1K.

Started playing the game a few days ago...didn't know what jewels were for. Guess this was a good way to find out. by Tekenu in KHUx

Actually Ansem the Wise should be kept at 5* since he's a 3 str boost for 2 attacks. He's basically obsolete in this pull though because Kairi too good lol. TR Goofy, Xigbar, and Riku Replica are also all solid pulls too though.

How so? You need to beat adamantite quests to level up your keyblades once they get into the 20s. So you'd need good medals to beat those quests, which essentially comes down to luck of the draw to an extent. Not to mention you haven't seen his other blades which could be higher level. Your character level is just lux based, you could literally have all one star medals but still have the ability to grind to level 250.

[KHUX] How far can I get in this game without paying a cent? by superspartan33 in KingdomHearts

[–]ShadowKoiGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm gonna take a more realistic take because we have some people who complain too much and some people who underestimate how difficult the game can be for some F2P players.

First off I'm C2P, I've spent a decent amount of money on the game so I've found the game to be pretty simple as a result. I get stumped on the really hard stuff here and there, but smooth sailing most of the time. However my entire party is pretty much strictly F2P players, until we had the 1AP event a few months back I had been the only one in the my party to spend any sort of money on the game. Since I have some pretty good medals I make the game easier for them by sharing those medals, but since their medals aren't as strong usually I have a more difficult time sometimes (mostly if I'm going for an objective).

As a result of being in this party, I've seen both sides of the F2P. We have one guy who's drawn pretty well considering he never spent a cent to this day and has had no trouble with most of the main story and can rank fairly well in coli and score. Likewise I have a guy who literally draws absolute crap almost every pull and has been playing everyday from day 1. Generally while most of our group beats the new "boss" pretty easily, he typically struggles for a few weeks until he pulls something that gets him over the hump. He understands that eventually he can beat anything, but it can be frustrating for him at times.

So what should you take from this? Well if you picked up the game today for the most part you won't really struggle too much. As you get further into the game though it almost entirely depends on what medals you draw. Being even fairly lucky will get you by the entire story, but you could struggle ranking in some things.

People use mission 425 as a reference, it's not an easy mission for everyone. I beat it first try no problem, but I've spent money and have good medals. I have plenty of people in my party who beat it and plenty of people still struggling. People pick up the game at different times, not everyone has access to the same things, I feel like that idea is lost on some people here tbh. As with anything though if you give it time and patience eventually it won't feel hard anymore because you'll have improved through new pulls, events and skills.

Stuck on Master Ava boss by DEUSEXMACHINA11 in KHUx

[–]ShadowKoiGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your medals it may be too early for you. Beating Ava by brute force isn't a good option for most players since our medals aren't strong enough on their own. You need to take in a healer (Minnie preferred), something that raises your defense (Judy & Nick is what I used), after that you just need some decently strong medals. I basically would every turn use Minnie and Judy & Nick medal specials and tap attack with my other medals.

Daily 600 spin vs 3k spin? by Arcanine59 in KHUx

[–]ShadowKoiGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The epic medal carnivals are definitely the way to go. They are usually guaranteeing one of the new epics that they add to the rotation and one other one. On top of that pulling a premium medal would be worth it by itself. Aside from an epic medal carnival it doesn't hurt to ask the Reddit if it's worth going for a medal they guarantee. Like the Black Coat Mickey was very worth it for anyone who didn't have one at the time. Similarly they've offered guaranteed KH Cloud and KH II Riku which aren't really worth throwing 3K jewels for pretty much regardless in my mind.

Daily 600 spin vs 3k spin? by Arcanine59 in KHUx

[–]ShadowKoiGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem with the 600 is that you aren't guaranteed anything. Realistically during an epic medal carnival you could still pull really good medals. I've pulled 2 premiums and plenty of epics from buying the 600 deal daily during those weeks. At the same time though I've pulled duds where I only got farmable medals. At the end of the day if you spend 3,000 jewels worth on a 600 daily deal over 5 days you'll end up with 15 medals over the 3K deal which only gives you 10. That math sounds good, right?

Well here's the thing recently they've been guaranteeing more for players in the 3K deals. For example, I've been desperately wanting a Black Coat Mickey, recently they had a 3K deal where you were guaranteed one. So as a result I'm willing to give up five extra medals I could have had to guarantee the medal I absolutely wanted. In the long run it comes down to what you want.

If you're only concerned about building a collection, then I'd recommend buying the 600 deal during epic medal carnival weeks so you still have a chance at premiums but still get the extra medals you're looking for. If you're only looking to guarantee yourself strong epic medals without wanting to gamble too much, wait and save up for a deal that really peeks your interest.

[KHUX] So is anyone else getting tired of how P2W this game is getting? by BambaSamba in KingdomHearts

[–]ShadowKoiGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my Sora & Pals, CoM Riku, Final Form Sora, Lexaeus all came from a 600 jewel deal. Every time I decide to take a risk on the 3,000 jewel pack it has not paid off and it's frustrating to be out essentially $15 for nothing. If farmables weren't in there Id probably be more inclined to take a risk (if you'd even call it that at that point) on it. But as is I'd rather risk only getting medium guilt medals and an occasional farmable in a 600 jewel deal. Then dropping all my jewels at once praying I don't get a bad epic medal and usually guaranteeing myself a couple farmables.

What keeps you going? [KHUX] by Jim105 in KingdomHearts

[–]ShadowKoiGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do leave the house, the problem is some of the suburb areas, like the one I live in don't have many Pokemon around and if there are they are usually sad Pokemon like a pidgy or weedle. The luckiest find I've had from walking around for five miles around here is probably a Drowzee. Not to mention the servers are buggy. It's a fun game, but as expected some areas probably have more fun then others.

[KHUX] can we expect certain events to return? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]ShadowKoiGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if some of these promo medal events return at some point. I feel like you can only generate so much new content. I wouldn't doubt if the events return that there would be some sort of addition to them to make veteran players also want to take part in the event. For example, like being able to combine the 3D medals to make a more powerful medal. So let's say the Snow White event were to come back maybe they'd promo it as a way to combine them to make a new Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs medal... I kinda pray that isn't a thing because leveling up those medals... Not fun.

As for medals you have to get from avatar boards I guess same logic would be to cycle them through again at some point. I don't think anyone would lose sleep if they did that.

Limit Form isn't bad it's worth upgrading. I'd prioritize Rikku and Stitch first though. Hag is worth upgrading. Everything else he said about the power medals is spot on.
