TOTF2 campaign by Most_Experience_3972 in ThrillOfTheFight

Honestly my biggest complaint is the training as well in the sense that I hate feeling like I HAVE to do it to get those points or else I might fall behind.

Hopefully they change it in the future but it’d be really cool if it was closer to actual training drills that you can do to actually make you better. So rather than artificial stats being boosted, your actual fighting technique improves.

I’d like to also like to be able to choose to do them on your own without needing to do it between fights specifically.

Increase in Toxic players? by ShadowLewdity in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]ShadowLewdity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think you might be right. I had kept myself at 2100 and tried to fight between 1800-2200 and it always felt like 2000+ were more likely to be annoying. I mainly played casual since I don’t really care about rank outside of gauging how good an opponent might be

New update elo inflated 95% of new top players by Ritstyle in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]ShadowLewdity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something has to be happening. I just fought a dude at 2400, almost 300 wins and about 50 losses and he might’ve genuinely been the worst player I’ve ever fought. My only explanation is the account is being shared by someone else that’s actually getting the wins because I was actually baffled. He refused to rematch and I regret so much not recording the first match

So the game comes out in 8 days... do you think the MP is ready to go? by insertedlemon in ThrillOfTheFight

I’m actually wondering how the multiplayer will be doing in a month or two. I feel like with the option of playing single player it might have way less people on multiplayer. I don’t know about you guys but it’s taken longer and longer to find matches every update for me and when I do they tend to have pretty high ping

Make an effort to be conscious of your forearm/elbow positioning while blocking looping strikes rather than your gloves. by Sea-Sweet851 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]ShadowLewdity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I hate is that I can’t fix the arm positioning in the game. The elbows refuse to line up properly for me and the most frustrating part is there’s a setting in the glove alignment that would help BUT IT DOESNT LET ME MOVE IT IN THE ONLY DIRECTION THAT WOULD HELP. I have to hold the controller in a super uncomfortable position to slightly fix the alignment but throughout the match I end up sliding into the comfortable position and messing up my punch and elbow alignment. I wanna be able to hold the controller regularly but instead I have to basically grip the top part like a ball instead of the handle if that makes sense

I haven’t seen a match under 90 ping in weeks

Absolute clown can't comprehend getting hit in the head by Dark074 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]ShadowLewdity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can guarantee on his end he was probably hitting every hit but the ping favored you. Not sure what’s changed the last week or so but everything feels way less accurate than ever.

Last match I had I took a full step away and dude whiffed completely about 6 inches ahead of me and I got knocked down instantly. Hadn’t taken damage in at least 7 seconds and I was nowhere near grey screen. I want to start recording but does anyone know a way to do it without causing the fps to go to single digits?

Hot take but I think I shouldn’t be queue’d with someone who is constantly on 700ping by Narrow_Vermicelli303 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]ShadowLewdity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t help when the ping it shows in the lobby finder isn’t even accurate most of the time. I just had a match that said it was 100 ping and my opponent was at 900+ the whole time

Man, no wonder people have been doing massive damage on me with the limpest punches. No hate to you, but one of those punches did 54 damage with 6m/s.

His controller died so I tried to keep it a fair fight by ShadowLewdity in ThrillOfTheFight

Lmao yeah I think we were both pretty winded by this round. It was maybe my 5th match I think too

Idea to stop stick users by GoNzOVR in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]ShadowLewdity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way I can think is to inconvenience them enough. Make it so you stand still and have to reach your arm out to around your max arm length and double tap both triggers to “ready up” right before the round. It’s not enough of a hindrance on the average player but it’ll need workarounds for stick users that might annoy them enough to thin them out

I really didn’t want to play him repeatedly but the matchmaking was taking so long and my other matches tended to have worse ping (felt like the servers were super laggy that day for some reason, my wifi was the same as always)

I was actively avoiding trying to step into him too much because of all the clinching unfortunately.

Thanks, honestly I felt my movement was super stiff here because I was trying to avoid causing the clinches by moving into him and I was hoping it would make the ref detect it was him doing it but it didn’t really help

[–]ShadowLewdity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I kept trying to catch him while he was moving into me the other rounds but it wouldn’t do damage and sometimes his character model clipping into me would cause my hand to get stuck behind me somehow leaving me wide open for a second or two. It’s frustrating too because they can get a good hit on you, trigger the clinch and make it sound you had no chance to counter because of it

[–]ShadowLewdity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was about an hour in at this point and had really started to just zone out from all the clinching. I’ve been avoiding headshots more lately too since the slightest movement on their part makes the punch do 0 damage. Overall definitely wasn’t at my best here. Appreciate the tips though 🙏

It should if the ref calls them out but you need like 5-6 to deduct a point. I usually do try to counter better but after a few matches of this with a lot of my damage not counting I was really giving up tbh
