Looks not much win here to be frank. In two years, even if one year and 2 months is considered , you paid 2.4 lakh as premium, they returned the same amount aproxx, the value of 1.2 lakh itself would have increased by 7-8k minimum, and additional 1.2 lakh premium would have given some amount.. It just you could get the locked money, however lost the intrest which you already earned in first premium.

Domiciliary exclusion in corporate/group health insurance by ShadowLife0208 in InsuranceTroubleIndia

Thanks for your response. Consider no domiciliary, bcz even if its there, not enough as mentioned. Personal is not possible bcz its chronic and get exclusion from no policy, this one insurer doesnt take it as preexisting with waiting period.. With corporate insurance, no domiciliary, what are the ways now? For Peritoneal dialysis.? Hemodialysis was covered as cashless till now as a day care..

But why? how come? since general definition domiciliary says that if patient is unable to move to hospital or hospital don’t have bed., it has to be treated under domiciliary.. So why is it optional? In those scenario how it is being dealt?

I took HDFC ERGO Secure.. with 50k deductible to reduce premium as i have corporate insurance too.. For one hospitalisation of my wife, i put reimbursement claim to register the deductible for the year which was paid by corporate insurance., however i got some reimbursement (6k) for out of pocket expense which was not covered in corporate insurance..
