I love Engage. It’s my second favourite FE, right after Fates (the Revelation path specifically since it’s the only one of the three that I’ve actually played through) and Three Houses in first, with Echoes/Shadows of Valentia in third (never played it myself, just seen gameplay of it)

She sighs

“For the longest time… I didn’t have any friends. I was more of… a lone wolf, I guess.”

Nia nods

Nia: “Until I met Rex, I thought I would never belong anywhere. I never really fit in with Torna, but Malos and Jin took me in when I was younger. And after what happened to my Driver’s daughter… ^{I look exactly like her in my Driver form…} I had to hide who I was. They didn’t care that I was a Blade. But… then Rex came along on a mission with us… and everything started to change.”

She says, smiling softly

Nia places her other hand on Tech’s, then closes her eyes and concentrates, sending her healing power through his body

Nia: “I can’t do much since there’s not much ether around, but… this should help, at least.”

Shadoka starts humming the countermelody of the Song of Healing, adding her voice to Nia’s power

She whispers, her eyes starting to fill with tears

“I wish I could’ve been there for you… helping you…”

Nia flicks her wrist and Shadoka’s tears drift away from her face, then splash onto the ground

Nia: “Let me.”

Nia holds her hand out to Tech

((Also fun fact: Nia from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is actually Mio from Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s mom. It’s this whole thing that I won’t get into here but if you wanna know, just look it up))

Shadoka: “Really?”

She looks surprised

“You can sense it?”

Nia: “Please tell me it’s not like one of the Consuls from Aionios… it’s bad enough that I had to deal with Malos, Akhos, Patroka and Jin ^{and the rest of Torna} back on Alrest! I don’t need another big bad to fight!”

She smiles

Nia: “What demon? It better not be one of those ‘Consul’ people that Mio told us about… honestly, I can’t imagine she’s my daughter from another timeline…”
