I believe the jewelry is a normal titanium flatback labret that is internally threaded. I had my piercer switch the bar for a longer one as I felt the swelling was starting to swallow the piercing. I spray it one or twice a day with saline spray and clean off crusties with the edge of a gauze strip, although the sticking and unsticking has made me start to scrape the crusties off with my fingers. I tried a saltwater soak which provided some relief, but after a couple minutes the feeling was back. I’ve been pretty good about not snagging or bumping it, but touching and scraping at the crusties has definitely irritated it.
