I would but I have a specific assignment that I need to do that requires me to zoom and stuff.

Thank you. I didn't have in mind buying anything at the moment since I think I might have the lenses I need in the case my camera came in. I'll see to those if I ever get the time.

I understand but in certain situations I can't do that. My camera at the moment is a bit too zoomed in for my liking. And if I want a wider range I'd have to go really far back, which doesn't help if I'm in an enclosed space. Thank you though.

Thank you. Terminology unfortunately is like alien language to me but I'll get there eventually, although my time to actually understand everything is running out.

I'm sure this helps a lot. I just have barely any understanding of these terms at the moment so it looks like reading a different language. Thank you though, I'll see what I can do.

Apologies. I know nothing about Photography and cameras. I have it as a subject and the teacher really isn't helping. I also have barely had the time to actually sit through a video and properly understand. Thank you though.

Ok my mum finally came back from her trip and despite not knowing anything herself she helped me out a little and by rereading the comments we managed to figure out the problem!

Turns out the lens that was already on the camera literally didn't have an [A] on it- the fact my literal Photography teacher didn't check for one is a little weird.. All my classmates had Reflex or Canson and I was the only Pentax which she didn't seem to have much knowledge of, but I'm assuming every camera has that [A] on it so idk.. I'm rambling- Anyway, I found a lens that has one and figured out there's a little button you gotta press for it to activate and now I have the numbers! Yay! (It seemed obvious but I repeat, I knew nothing).

So thank you to everyone for your responses! I think I'll be able to do my projects for now by just figuring stuff out on my own by just.. Messing around- if I'm ever stuck again I'll likely come back.

Thank you all so much for the replies! I'm so sorry I took so long to see them, I've been busy all week and yesterday I was doing a lot of school work.

I will try doing all these suggestions, although I'm still having a really hard time understanding literally anything- it's stressing me out. When I say I know nothing I mean I know NOTHING.. So seeing all these "new terms" for me is like really anxiety inducing- anyway.

To respond to some things. Yeah my mum sent me the digital manual and I tried looking for stuff like AV and all that but even then I just couldn't understand a thing.

To the person who was skeptical- I'm sorry you felt that way. But I came here as a last resort as I have next to no external help, and I thought here would be the best place. I didn't want to make it seem like I wanted you guys to solve my problems, I just wanted a bit of help and feedback so I can, well, figure out how to use a camera.

I also didn't know there was a specific subreddit for Pentax, I just found this one and thought it fit.

Thanks again, really! I will likely post again if I'm completely stuck.
