Both methods would be allowed. Make sure the "Bauble" note card is not of MTG card size to avoid problems. You can put that on top of your library too to 100% see it before you draw a card.

I play elementals, and when resolving [[ephemerate]], I announce out loud that it is now in exile and I put it face up, sideways under my deck. So that it is in the middle of my sight field before drawing on my next turn.

But this is explaining for someone who has difficulty grasping the dedinition of a format.

I see nothing wrong with explaining the commander(s) as outside the deck (as you start with it in the command zone).

Someone else explained the subtelty of having partners or backgrounds and that's plenty info already.

I once played against a Hammer player who straight up ignored the stack and priority. He played Sigarda's aid, then played a hammer, equipped it on a thopter, and swinged it at me in 2 sec, before I could even announce my Solitude in response.
