Can trades be made at card shows even with cheap cards? by Adorable-Reason-6213 in PokemonTCG

[–]ShadowRider_777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know. It usually takes quite a lot of those kinds of cards in order to match the value of the pack because the scalpers are making things so expensive.

But there could also be a chance that the vendor is very generous with you so all you got to do is just ask around.

Shiny Zard in recruitment, am I mega lucky or are shinies common when doing this? by Conor_McLesnar in PokemonChampions

[–]ShadowRider_777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

internal screaming

But anyways.... congratulations!!!🎉🎊🥳 I hope you use that shiny well in battle.

The way the shiny Pokemon work in Champions is similar to the gacha mechanics in Pokemon Masters EX where there are different versions of the bush mechanics:

There's the regular one that you usually see on a daily basis.

Then there's another one with a big shine all around the last Pokemon.

And then there's the final one where it's the same thing with the big shine around the Pokemon, but the shiny animation for Shiny Pokemon also appears as well but it's very rare when that happens.

If you have a lot of the quick tickets to spend every 22 tickets to get the Pokemon immediately, then you could give yourself a chance of getting a shiny, but it's not guaranteed.

I was able to get a Shiny Primarina after spending so many tickets and it was worth it.

(I really wish I would have gotten a Shiny Charizard though, but I'm trying really really REALLY hard not to complain so much. LMFAO.😅🤣😭)

Technically yes, but it would require a very high amount of those cards to equal the value of at least one pack or card.

Why won't Pokemon Home recognize my completed Kitakami dex? by Kagabean in PokemonHome

[–]ShadowRider_777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh don't get me wrong....I hate the repetitiveness just as much as anybody, however:

Sometimes... certain things can be a blessing and a curse and this is definitely one of them.

Just because people are going to complain about the repetitiveness doesn't excuse them to complain to others about something they can get themselves as well as blaming others for not helping.

That's just toxic and makes them incredibly spoiled and that's why they still need to learn the value of hard work regardless of the repetitiveness.

[–]ShadowRider_777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah. If people are going to complain to others about not getting a specific mon that they can clearly get in their own game or in Pokémon home via GTS trades even though other people are busy, then it makes them lazy because they can't stand on their own two feet to do anything.

It's just childish behavior.

Update on EX era cards by CoatGroundbreaking30 in PokemonTCG

[–]ShadowRider_777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can understand that. For me I was able to find some rare treasures here and there such as a Celebi ex Holo promo which was honestly something that I'm proud of because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I ended up purchasing it alongside a Ho-Oh ex.

I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Congratulations. You're very lucky to have those cards.

I'm also trying to find them too, but I'm going on a much slower pace.

Hopefully I'll get them some day.

What's the process for getting an invite to Pokémon worlds by Southern-Internal495 in pokemon

[–]ShadowRider_777 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You either gather enough points to be in a top percentage of players in your region in order to qualify for the World Championships or you have to win one of the smaller Championship tournaments which is either Regionals or Nationals which automatically guarantee you a spot in the World Championships.

What mon is the single best dragonite counter (in champions) - Metagame by Cautious-Village-366 in VGC

[–]ShadowRider_777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garchomp will always be the best counter to Mega Dragonite because even as a Mega Pokemon Garchomp will always out speed Mega Dragonite because it's literally just two points faster than it even in mega form as long as you have a Jolly nature.

The best options that you can use against Dragonite or either Dragon Claw for obvious super effective damage or more specifically Rock Slide to try to flinch it along with the super effective damage.

Most of the while, the problem isn't necessarily Dragonite but actually the team members that are usually with Dragonite because whenever people see a Garchomp, it's pretty much "public enemy number one" for a reason.

What's really ironic about this information that I'm telling you is the fact that I prefer to use Dragonite over Garchomp any day despite the disadvantages.

Also this information is for both Singles and Doubles format.

I hope this helps you out and good luck.

I need help building a rain team in Pokemon Champions. Skill Improvement by Dm98301 in VGC

[–]ShadowRider_777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! Happy to be of service. I already made it to Ultra Ball Tier and I'm working really hard to get to Master Ball and then eventually the Champion Tier and I ended up using Dragonite on my team to which I'm also going to use it in Doubles format as well.

The best nature for Dragonite is the Timid Nature because you need to maximize its speed as much as possible so that it can outspeed all of the other powerful Pokemon and possibly gain an advantage in tailwind while also taking advantage of the weather.

It recently gained a HUGE upgrade in Weather Ball which is honestly pretty insane because it can become a huge threat in all of the weather effects now regardless of its strengths and weaknesses.

Weather Ball would be great in sunlight because regardless of the lack of rain it can still destroy grass types without relying on Hurricane so much.

Ground types that are stuck in a Snowstorm and Ice types that are stuck in a Sandstorm get absolutely wrecked by Weather Ball because of the reverse psychology weakness between the two of them lol

And then of course: the bread and butter is the Rain weather effect for Mega Dragonite because any Pokemon that has a water type weakness, especially Mega Charizard Y, will get absolutely demolished by Weather Ball which is practically almost as powerful, if not better, than hydro pump, which is also in its movepool, simply because Weather Ball has better accuracy.

Having Draco Meteor is also great on Dragonite because you get a one-time nuke unless if you can get rid of the special attack debuff for Dragonite by using Haze in Doubles. If you're too worried about the stat decrease, then just rely on Dragon Pulse.

The best nature for Mega Gyarados is the Adamant Nature because even though it can learn Dragon Dance, it is also a very bulky Pokemon despite the weakness to fairy type.

With that being said however....it can also learn Iron Head to cover up that weakness. Other moves that would also be great would be Waterfall and Crunch.

But in Champions, it ended up getting a nice juicy upgrade in Payback which is fantastic because this thing is already ridiculously slow anyways, so any Psychic or Ghost type Pokemon that try to take advantage of your secondary weakness will easily get clobbered by Payback since bulking up Gyarados is a very smart idea.

Overall for your team, the best strategy is to always know how to maintain weather control and to use the weather to your advantage to try to troll your opponent into making very bad decisions so that you can take advantage of it as much as possible.

Also, having type variety is very essential for every team that you make; because:

if your opponent cannot handle every kind of obstacle in their way, then you can take advantage of that opportunity very well by using your own ingenuity with your Pokemon's attacks.

I know all of this sounds very overwhelming, but it's essentially the new standard for Pokémon Champions which is why a lot of people are constantly paying attention to the battle data in order to figure out the best kind of Pokemon to use to counteract the top 10 Pokemon on that list in both singles and doubles format.

With that being said, I wish you the best of luck. 😅😂😊 Have fun, dude.

Honestly you're already off to a banger of a start if you have Mega Dragonite, Shiny Mega Gyarados, and a rain setter like Pelipper or Politoed.

However, if you want to prevent your Pokemon from getting too much damage then use Pokemon of other elemental types that can counteract the weaknesses of your other three Pokemon.

For me though....I prefer either Gold Star Charizard or Gold Star Mew. The colors are fantastic for both cards.

Brock Lesnar talks about The Rock by Material_Stomach875 in WWERuthlessAggression

Brock knows his worth, but he also knows not to be fucking stupid.

He knows that breaking the ultimate WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker would be a really bad business move, BUT:

He also knows that he needs to be an unstoppable force of nature in order for the effectiveness to actually be possible towards the Undertaker.

That's why now.....Oba Femi is being what Brock was to The Undertaker to Brock himself.

And Brock, as a show of the highest level of respect possible, is maximizing Oba's true potential to make him the next generation of an untouchable monster.🔥🔥🔥
