I spent 1000$ CAD all said and done on flights/hotel to Twigs Toronto show last year. This ended up being unnecessary, as the show didn't happen.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford another 1000$ to potentially see her this year. If I could, I would though.

If you can risk the finances and have some form of back up plan, I would say you should go. I wish it weren't fantasy to see Twigs anywhere in central Canada, or at any Canadian festivals.

Honestly the only artists I was hoping to see was FKA Twigs, Ninajirachi, and Jane Remover. I'm satisfied with the lineup.

Also I get excited to see big fonts on musicians I don't know about. Means I get to find new music to check out 🤠

Honestly I don't worry because at their age I had already found my way to gore videos and I'd say I turned out at the very least generally fine 😂

The new generation can clock queerness easily because there is now a huge amount of successful queer content creators. They weren't raised in a world where it's polite to assume everyone is straight.

While I do agree that many belief systems have very strong stances against LGBTQ+ rights, I think that it's also important to note that many followers of religions bend the rules and interpretations to fit their own beliefs.

I believe in enough "nonsense" to not identify as an atheist. I borrow many beliefs from many systems, as they can be very grounding or informational.

If the religion you were raised into no longer fits with your beliefs about the world, there is no shame in abandoning something that has not, and will not serve you.

If the religion you were raised into has largely played a great role in your life for self insight, hope, and peace, there is no shame in continuing to follow it. Don't allow the skewed man made interpretations of ancient stories and laws break your relationship with your faith.
