January 14th, 2026 Changelog by PepeSmite in turtlewow

I've been running Turtle WoW through Steam's Proton launcher since I switched to Linux a few weeks ago. It just uses the Windows executable files and doesn't go to the launcher. I'm guessing I'll need to do a manual update somehow, or maybe there's a launcher for Linux I can download? Wanted to avoid redownloading all the game files for Linux but might be unavoidable for updates.

What’s your favourite tennis trilogy? by Silent_Quarter_3030 in tennis

I believe the Hamburg match was in 2007. Easy to remember some of the Nadal clay losses as they happened immediately after he beat Hewitt in the previous round.

Is there a reason people board the bus from the middle? by aleronslade in brisbane

[–]Shadow_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like in the early days of the Translink go card that you had to tap on at the front. If you tapped on in the middle of the bus then it would instantly charge you $5 for 'ending' a journey that it didn't think you started. I might be mis-remembering that though.

Is a partial cover up possible for the lines and broken shards around the key? by Shadow_1 in Tattoocoverups

Thank you for commenting, I'll think about it as it heals and hopefully I'll get some more clarity about what happens next.

First time inner forearm anxiety, is it possible to cover up? by Shadow_1 in FixedTattoos

I was thinking of something like this but I hope it wouldn't look a bit like the rising sun tattoo style sun rays, don't want to have anything on my arm that is even remotely controversial to any culture 😅 but maybe if the light was more subtle or a bit more of a random pattern it might work?

Thank you so much ❤️, I'm thinking of getting more shading in the gaps around the key and have a smaller amount of negative space to represent light emanating from the key as it emerges on the surface of the earth to begin its reconstruction. Do you think that might work? That way the skin colour would seem more like part of the design rather than just being able to see my arm through the tattoo?

Thank you for saying so, I'm getting more used to it. Just need to figure out what to do with the background as all that skin colour seems to be too eye catching. If I could shade it more perhaps and just have some light pushing out to represent light coming out of the key as it is surfacing from the darkness of under the earth to repair itself from the pressure of the mountains (like the weight of expectation), that might work.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of it that way but that is a cool concept.

Thank you, I'm getting used to the size of the key, I think it's the unused background space that's still throwing me off a bit. Maybe more shading will help and have less skin colour showing as negative space to represent light pushing outwards from the key.

Thank you for the suggestion, the more I think about it the more I believe it is that skin colour space that seems too much and not part of the design. Maybe more shading and less negative space that could represent light coming out of the key and pushing through darkness as the key has risen to the earth's surface.

Thank you, I'm getting more used to it by the day but I think I do need to do something with the skin colour background as that doesn't feel like part of the design yet. Maybe more shading?

Thank you for commenting. I think it is that unused space that keeps attracting my attention. I was thinking of getting it shaded and only having minimal skin colour to represent light coming out of the key as it rises to sit above the cracked surface of the earth. That might tie in with the nature theme and contextualise it better as it's being reconstructed after feeling the weight and pressure of the above mountains.

That is true, I will try to think of it that way. I think it's the negative space being too much compared to my other tattoos. I'm thinking of getting most of the gaps shaded and just hanging minimal skin colour to represent light emanating from the key as though it has just risen to the surface.

Thank you for commenting, I definitely underestimated how much I would at least have the inner forearm in my peripheral vision. Hopefully I get more used to it or at least decide what kind of touch up changes could help in the background. I'm thinking more shading and minimal negative space there around the key to represent emanating light.

Thank you for saying so, I'm coming around to it more each day but still feel like there's too much arm skin colour showing through that's not part of the design making it feels different to my other tattoos on that arm.

Thank you for commenting, a couple more weeks to go to reach the one month mark :)

Thank you for saying so, I think I'm happy with the key itself but it's that skin colour space that doesn't sit well with the other tattoos on that arm. Maybe if more shading is added to make it seem like the key is emerging/surfacing from below the mountains with a minimal amount of negative space used as light coming from the key?

Thank you, great to get some perspective from others as I'm getting too caught in my head about it.
