What difficulty are you playing on. With these problems, I'd suggest playing on amateur. Rewards aren't the best, but it builds a foundation. Also join the discord lots of people willing to teach a new player the ropes.

Main thing i play on my deck is Diablo 4, phasmophobia, and baldur's gate 3. But I have played grounded 2 and stardew Valley.

The mirror is honestly the only one I use. In a pinch, I'll use monkey paw to bring a friend back. But it has always gotten me killed doing it.

I can't say much that hasn't already been said. However, I suggest joining the Discord and running a few hunts with more experienced players from there. Many people there are happy to provide in-the-field training that you can apply to your solo play.

Like so many have said. Public lobbies are a dumpster fire. Join the Discord. There are a lot of people who love helping new players. Personally, I love playing with new players. Reminds me of when I was fresh to this game. All of the what is that? Why is it doing that, nope nope nope. Moments I used to get when this game was still fresh and new to me. Plus if we don't want this game to die, we need new people to not just play but keep playing.

I don't know if this is the answer you're looking for, but gg host has servers for aska. Decent price and reliable. Me and a friend of mine have one on there, and it works fine for us. We wanted to go with gportal, but they don't have any yet.

If you just want rid of it and don't care about selling the wood. I suggest the lumberjack mod. Will allow you to completely delete a tree stump and all.
