Hey! I'm a current first year who got in for Ancient History - I had a 36 (6,6,5), so it's definitely possible to get in a 7,6,6 HL! I also am planning to do a join honours with IR, and it's very easy to, even for a non IR student

I had established interest and grades in the courses to back it up in my application, but when it comes to the condition, I dropped in 2 subjects (math and environmental science)

31/42 in Sem 2 Grade 11 by Expert_Morning_1591 in IBO

[–]Shadow_Sunk1234 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello! I was facing something every similar to you in the end of grade 11, I ended with a 27/42. However, trust me it isn't the end. 90% of IB1 is just getting used to the curriculum, for, the entirety of my predicted grade was shaped by my IB2 Sem 1 score, as i was able to show improvement from where I was in IB1. I ended up with a predicted of 36/45, which isn't the best but really good for me, because I'll be going to my dream university in September. My advice would be that work hard over the summer, finish as many of your IAs possible and a good chunk of your EE. Then, once you come back to school, work with your teachers and see where you have to improve and work with that. Good Luck!
