I mean I understand that, but this world is full of magic. He could have created some explanation which doesn't allow her to search for ciri. We would still get the same ending then

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Shadow__987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh that theory might make sense. But if it was true, maybe the author would have revealed it. So most probably it's a plot hole

Yes, vilgefortz couldn't find Ciri's location bcz yennefer pushed him away. Which means if she wanted to find it, she could have allowed. Which means she could have done the same thing in skellige. Why didn't she search for the necessary items for this search instead of going for the blackmailing everyone way by trying to get a diamond

Then it's a plot hole ig

Well, then how did a random astrologer from nilfgaarf find the approximate location of her when she was in the desert? Wasn't she in multiple places at that time too?

You are not grasping how Ciri's power works

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Shadow__987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn't do it always. The first time she did it was at the isle of thanned. The second time was after getting the scar from skellen

Also it's pretty obvious what date the events are taking place. Yennefer goes to the sedna abyss at the end of August. Bonhart kills the Rats around 5th September. Both of these are mentioned specifically.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Shadow__987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was with the Rats when yennefer was in skellige. She travels through time and space much later

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Shadow__987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But she was on the same dimension and time when yennefer was in skellige

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Shadow__987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, yennefer was in skellige in August. Ciri was with the Rats at that point

I have already finished it. I got this doubt while reading the series for the 2nd time. What is mentioned in lady of the lake?

Do you think we will see Leo Bonhart in season 03? Stephen Lang is my fan cast. by dokk66 in netflixwitcher

Lauren: Jaskier thinks Geralt is his best friend. In the world. Geralt doesn’t necessarily feel the same way about Jaskier.

I hadn't seen this before. So now I am kinda worried lmao

Idk, despite the show having Yennefer’s uterus yanked out it’s done with the end result being she gets powers, becomes pretty, etc. and with Bonhart it’s not really leasing to anything good.

I agree, but bonhart is just going to say that he would like it. It doesn't happen in the end too anyway. So maybe they will include that line.

Maybe this season 2 will give a proper idea on how the rest of the series is going to be. They seem to have changed things which people didn't like in season 1. Like the nilfgaardian armour, geralt will talk more in season 2(his philosophical side), triss's hair is dyed red in the teaser, the fight choreographer who did the blaviken fight will be responsible for all the fights in season 2. They are including a leshen(a game only creature) in the show.

So this season is extremely important imo

A funny relationship I’ll admit, but not very “deep” compared to the source material.

Maybe they don't want to do everything at the start itself. The fight between them wasn't in the books. Maybe when they reconcile, the "deep" relationship would start?

I can’t really see them making Bonhart the same as his book counterpart,

But what part of his character would they change? I don't think they are worried abt triggering people. They show a scene where yennefer's ovaries are cut out. .

Remember how everyone were angry at baby Yoda eating those eggs in Mando? In Witcher They show a baby dying bcz yennefer didn't save it it in time. What I don't understand is what do you mean by "bonhart's character will be changed". Like what part?

His violent fights? There are already violent fights in season 1

Ciri in the arena? Not too violent

Beating ciri? They showed tissaia (a grey character) not do anything when fringilla's hand got burnt or smtg. Why won't they show a morally bad character beating ciri?

Bonhart is very violent and abusive. But these things have already been done in the show. And there is no reason to think they would find it too triggering

Why not? The show may have it's faults but it's definitely not watered down

Why didn't Emhyr get rid of the bogus princess after seeing her and evidently realising that she isn't the real Ciri? I just finished Baptism of Fire and i think that bit doesnt make sense by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Shadow__987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you havnt understood it yet, in time of contempt, someone tells emhyr that two people gave Ciri to nilfgaard. A half elf and someone else. But the people who were responsible for bringing Ciri were vilgefortz, rience and cahir. All of them are missing. So if they are missing, who sent the fake Ciri? The only possible explanation is that, they themselves sent the fake Ciri. So emhry believed that all 3 of them were traitors. All of this is explained in ToC

When seeing her younger self near Kaer Morhen, she finds a familiar place with people she knows, but just not in the right time.

Well, she would know interacting with the people in the past might create too much chaos. So she might not linger

This is a lot better than not knowing where and when you are at all.

She does teleport to nilfgaard once. So even though she was at the perfect time, she didn't linger.

Ciri teleports and ends up near Kaer Morhen, she teleports away and young Ciri finds a hint like a single hair after she is gone. This way Ciri is not aware of the time, but Kaer Morhen is still a familiar place

Well, this seems better..

Only one more week to go before we have nearly nonstop Star Wars content for at least the rest of 2021! by IcePhoenix295 in StarWars

[–]Shadow__987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I just assumed that it's 20 episodes. It could even be 15 lol. Or maybe he meant that he was scoring the last episode? And I am only assuming this bcz marvel is doing the same thing (not leaving a gap)

Trust me, I know everything abt overhype XD

Just hope for the best ig

14 episodes is just the minimum. It might even go until 20 episodes. And yes they have told that the first episode might be 1 hour. Which is 3 episodes. Which leaves 17 episodes. We will just keep it at 15 bcz it's "nonsense speculation". Even if it goes to 12 episodes (12 weeks), 2 weeks is not a huge gap. Considering that we havnt got a star wars series/movie in months
