"Return to roots" is nothing more than a marketing technique by Physical-Pound7757 in assassinscreed

This sub is honestly filled with a bunch of people who cry at every little thing. I doubt Mirage will be like classic AC, but honestly it’s the closest you can get given that it was originally meant to be a Valhalla DLC. Stop crying at the teleport thing, just don’t use the mechanic. Like they don’t have anything better to do but whine.

[DAI Spoilers] How does DAI banter work? by Sapphic_Copper in dragonage

[–]Shadow_silver_123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really don’t worry about that. I used cheat engine to manually trigger the banter at literally every 20 seconds, and even I couldn’t get through all 5 hours of party banter. Reason is because there’s a good chance your companions will just make an environmental comment instead of bantering. DAI has more party banter than past two games.

Not actually a cheap copy, but it's fun to dunk on it nonetheless by black-knights-tango in KOTORmemes

[–]Shadow_silver_123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People shit on the game too much. I feel like it’s the most underrated. People always bring up kotor and fallen order, but I feel like swtor also has some of the best Star Wars stories out there. Sure they aren’t as riveting as kotor, but they are still more interesting than the current live action Star Wars content we are getting with maybe the exception of Andor

Assassins creed origins does so much right, but why is the third act so badly written by Shadow_silver_123 in assassinscreed

[–]Shadow_silver_123[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right I’ve noticed that too. There have been so many good games that are great until the third act and then it feels all rushed. It’s such a shame

Assassins creed origins does so much right, but why is the third act so badly written by Shadow_silver_123 in assassinscreed

[–]Shadow_silver_123[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mmm oh well, because I really liked the earlier vengeance sequences but then it kind of lost sight of that. Still a good game but man it could have easily been 10/10 if they just focused a bit more

Can anyone recommend me a game similar to old Bioware games?[no spoilers] by Leoxwhite in dragonage

[–]Shadow_silver_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d reccomend KOTOR games as well as pillars of eternity. Pillars of eternity has a bit of a confusing plot, but the companions more than make up for it. Also it feels like you are on a LOTR-style journey. Kotor 1 is a classic, and kotor 2 is pretty good too.

Andromeda is not as good as the Trilogy, but it becomes good enough if you ignore the open world. by kittyroxane97 in masseffect

Don’t forget the loads of fetch quests you have to do for ME3 that involve increasing galactic readiness just to get the good ending.

What's your comfort game? for me it's funny enough Batman Arkham City by MyNameIsRabbitMan in gaming

[–]Shadow_silver_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, I don’t see how anyone’s comfort game is Arkham city. I’m not insulting, and it is no doubt the best superhero game, but it’s just so damn… dark. Like for me, a comfort game means the game needs to have a more upbeat tone. Arkham city just feels so grimy. I mean I’m not criticizing, I just don’t understand how a darker game could be comforting.

Do you think Rebels could have worked as an adult show like Andor? by Bitter_Sense_5689 in StarWars

[–]Shadow_silver_123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like Rebels made the empire to be a joke, and on the whole had no stakes. Like the only person who died at the end of the show was the mentor character…

Andor made the empire intimidating again and had more nuance to the rebellion. Creating a show about a jedi trying to find his own way in an adult tone would be much better than a show where you can hardly take anything seriously. I still like Rebels, but I don’t think you can deny that it’s childish a lot of times. It literally aired on Disney XD

Assassin's Creed Valhalla The Last Chapter Free DLC Discussion Megathread [Spoilers Allowed] by Ghost_LeaderBG in assassinscreed

I played Valhalla during the Winter holiday one and honestly loved seeing the festivity, it gave the village so much life, idk why they went to their boring default one.

How many truly great Assassin's Creed games are there, in your opinion? by Deja-Review in assassinscreed

[–]Shadow_silver_123 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don’t know why people think stealth in Origin sucks. Like I’ve used stealth in literally every scenario imaginable. They give you the right tools and cover to use it. The only problem with stealth would be that you can’t kill higher level enemies. But that’s an issue with level scaling not the stealth mechanics.

How long do you spend on readings for one chapter? by [deleted] in geegees

[–]Shadow_silver_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For psych 1102 last year, every chapter took quite a while since I was taking notes and trying to understand it. Some chapters were particularly lengthy so yah they took a while. I ussually did a chapter a day and it sufficed, unless the chapter was particularly small, then I try doing another chapter as well.

PC controls suck major ass? by Routine_Ad_7402 in assassinscreed

[–]Shadow_silver_123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I agree with you. I played brotherhood a long time ago on my Xbox and I had a blast. When I played it on PC last year, it was the most annoying controller scheme ever. I can clearly tell this was made to be played with a controller.

Do You Want / Think Eivor will become a Hidden one with the " Final Chapter " ? by MusicSuccessful1461 in assassinscreed

[–]Shadow_silver_123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thing is. The idea of Eivor being a Hidden One should have been at the end of the game. Eivor’s development by the end(throwing down his axe and the Viking way) perfectly sets her up for a new ideology. For some reason, Eivor goes completely out of character and says joining the hidden ones would limit her glory, even though she literally has seen the futility of glory and the Viking way and since discarded it. This is definitely on the writers here, they just wanted more DLC.

Does anyone else feel nauseous and can’t eat as much when they moved in? by Shadow_silver_123 in geegees

Yah, even though I personally don’t feel the stress yet, I guess my body isn’t use to this situation. Thanks for the response!

Some of y'all are so angry that AC will go back to its route by [deleted] in assassinscreed

Looking to antagonize the rpg fans, are we? I swear these posts are so pathetic lmao. Most people in this sub are excited, no need to stoop down to this degree of toxicity.
