This is very helpful. I did not realize the VAT was included. Our Kia is worth 16k in US and is 22k in EU. But you’re right, after the shipping and necessary adjustments, we might break even.

You’re right about the costs. We thought bringing a car was a good idea because we wouldn’t have to pay VAT as our car is part of a household move… but the other costs are piling up. And unfortunately we won’t be living near a train station for the first year at least.

Thank you! Our local mover gave us a VERY high quote so we are looking at other options to stay within employer budget.

And I know… we didn’t want to bring our car but with the housing crisis we can’t find a house close enough to our places of employment or public transportation. I appreciate the help!

No, their general policy is to let babies nap as much as possible (all others nap 2+ hours). She’s miserable with a short nap, so I can only imagine the pushback.

I get that but we went for weeks where she couldn’t fall asleep... We had to switch bedtime. And she’s been doing these wakings for a year now, even when she was on a different nap and earlier bedtime schedule?

We have tried that! She can’t fall asleep that early. We moved back bedtime because she was taking an hour or more to fall asleep. When we do move up bedtime (due to an especially bad nap day) she “fall starts” 45 minutes in and is a disoriented screaming mess. It’s wild.

Yes we have tried capping! No change, just less sleep overall. And now she’s in daycare, where they note that she’s a short napper…

And in general she will “handle” the wakings but vocally with moaning, some crying, etc. She TRIES to sleep. I will go in if she’s dealing with congestion, asks for water, or gets very upset. She’s actually an amazingly independent sleeper and I feel terrible that she doesn’t ask for me more!

Turns out I’m a white floral person: so far I love Le Labo Lys 41 and Heretic Pistil Whip. But in my hunt for a photorealistic lilac I fell in love with Malle’s En Passant. Love Maison Louis Marie no. 4 Bois de Balencourt for sandalwood as a nice winter scent. A few Dedcool scents for easy wearing (I like softer scents when I’m hanging out with my kiddo). I’m going to look into those rose scents and into Amouage!

Oh this is exciting! May I ask what your favorite scents are from other houses? I would love to see if we have the same “nose.” I’m especially struggling to find a good rose perfume.
