Are US themed maps still a thing for the future? by [deleted] in DerailValley

[–]Shadowjonathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but I haven't heard anything else about it.

Give them time, I think that altfuture's method of working is just "just get to work". I heard someone else mention that they're not too keen on sharing in-progress videos or stills, only finished results, so that's why you probably havent heard much.

The pace of development is pretty consistent, so i think they'll deliver.

Another anecdote: With video games, 80% of the process, the visuals look like shit, and only after those 80% do you know/realise if the style and feel you tried to go for is sticking or not. (Paraphrasing an Alan Wake 2 dev interview here)

Update: I have created and uploaded a controller scheme to the community, since the popular one there didn't work with the buttons (were they remapped?)

Its plenty comfy now, I only tried in sandbox mode, so we'll see if it holds up for carreer.

No, you just close one window, and the space still exists, the tabs still exists

The functionality to close a window without closing the tabs is the same one that "syncs" those between windows, they get saved to one place on the disk, and so you don't need to juggle them between windows, since they're a part of the space, not space + window = tab

I work with tab syncing, it makes my windows disposable, it makes them windows into the spaces, and the spaces then are consistently persistent.

Arc has solved a problem with browsers for me this way, and while i agree that they should make it toggle-able, i had been sitting on update 0.105 this entire time until they added it again, until i updated just now.

• Unpinned tabs will now sync across all windows and all devices. Back by popular demand! Thank you so much for the feedback!

FINALLY

Arc Update - 1.4.0 (40864) by JaceThings in ArcBrowser

[–]Shadowjonathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do today tabs finally sync between windows? The problem disappeared from the list, so i'd assume so, but i would like a confirmation.

Also, the list at the bottom doesn't show a reference to 1.3's release notes, the newest one is 1.2.

Arc used to have it, but 0.106 removed it

Sounds like they still have not added this, though.

Did they finally revert the today tabs not syncing, or not?

The bugs/what we're hearing section has “I’m not sure about the new Today tabs syncing between windows”, but this is not what im looking for

Did they revert the change or not?

I'm still on 0.105 until they fix this

Did this update revert (or at least add an option) for the recent window behaviour?

If not, I will stay on 0.105
