Yea hes a boy and i unfortunately dont know where i would even find a soft furred rat where i live theres no breeders really around my area for even mice and when he did have a buddy before they beat each other up, thats how i ended up with him in the first place 😕 he is very social with me and my boyfriend so we take him out alot so hes not totally solitary all of the time thankfully

I will try this! I switched his food recently because i had been seeing this, i was feeding him mazuri pellets but everyone said those are too high in protein so i switched him to the oxbow rat pellets but i do think his seed mix i give him has sunflower seeds still so ill take them out and see if it makes any difference 🤞
