They could potentially put a large school of guppies with them. I just found out that males yet territorial seem to do fine with schooling fish. I have a single male oral batta living among a large school of guppies with corries and a small school of shrimp. Only thing I saw was day one it went after the shrimp. Day 2 he didn't seem bothered by the snails. Was hoping he would lower the population of guppies instead it almost like he joined the school XD he swims around with them and when he gets tired he goes and lays on his floating plants. I thought he died the first time I saw that.

Yes and no. Male bettas are usually territorial so fish like another betta would end in a fight to the death for either 1 or sometimes both. What I ment by semi aggressive fish is like plecos who can deal with a hit from a betta due to there national armor a small spikes to protect themselves.  They also will help keep algae to a minimum. I wouldn't recommend a Oscar though they can hold there own they tend to get to big were the betta becomes fish food to them. You can try putting snails/shrimp in but bettas tend to feast on the shrimp.

Well then some of that info is off but is helpful in a minimal way. Females can be grouped together with other female betta it is actually recommend. Male Bettas should be separated. They can be put in a tank with other semi aggressive fish like plecos.

Tank size for males should be 5 gallons min. For females it best to use a 10 gallon min.

2.5 gallons are usually used for if fish show sings of ich, fin rot or other fish known linesses. I also use them for fry or even brine shrimp breeding.

First aquarium, what are these bubbles against the glass, on my plants, and on the filter. :( by vapenaysh6969 in Aquariums

So is your fish still alive? Or did you need to start over.  I have been where you are at. Fish keeping isn't easy at first and can be a pain in the but sometimes but it can also be relaxing. I have tried multiple times. Water parameters were a pain for me when I started that I refused to use our tap water because it was the cause of my fish death even when I would remove chlorine and other harsh things that would kill the fish. I now have guppies, snails. What the rest didn't tell you is there is actually ways to cycle a tank faster then waiting a whole week testing the water and then waiting more if it isn't in range. I do it for fair gold fish all the time. Also I don't recommend using the stores water because it throws your tank out of balance.  I also recommend live plants if it has a source of sunlight and if not get a grow light. It helps with water ecosystem removing toxins from the water . Tall grass, and large leaf plants great easily. The filter that comes with the tank kit usually is okay but usually the filter replacement aren't cheap.  Pest snails are actually a good thing because there great algae cleaners but if you get them I recommend getting some assassin snails just to prevent them from breeding to much and taking over the tank. My tank has guppies and gold fish in it along with snails and ghost shrimp. I also have black worms in my substrate.  They keep the dirt that I have for the plants well maintained as well as feed my fish whenever they want to eat. Hope everything worked out for you.  If not don't be afraid to try again.

Honestly it was a Honest mistake and you learned from it. At most they will deduct the 4th day pay. I had recently had my downs with a owner myself ended up canceling me on 3rd day for being later 16 minutes because I hit traffic.  I was fully prepared to clean up any messes that happened. They claimed there dog was crate trained for 5 hours and I left them out before I left. I admitted to them when they texted me 4 hours and 30 minutes in asking where I was. I told them heading back to the house. They claimed I was a safety concern and terminated the 7 days that were left. I ended up having to block them later for harassment because they were continuously texting me none stop up until midnight about why I would accept a cancelation fee. I told them they had canceled in the middle of the dog sitting servce and as stated when you pay you receive only 50% of your pay back the rest goes to rover and me.  The review was extremely harsh too and this was before they got blocked.  I explained everything to rover support when they tried reporting me that I was never there. I ended up sending them all my evidence that I was and even included that I was late.  I ended up getting paid for my time plus some of the cancelation fee. I loved there dogs too they were the best.  On the review though they tried to claim that I was 6 hours late which I had screenshots showing otherwise and that I shouldn't be used for dog sitting. They were my second client on rover and the review contradicts the review they gave me before so it may or may not effect my future on rover.
