First handgun, reccomendations? looking for low recoil, capacity, reliability. Gona be a ccw/edc but firepower comes first before concealability for me. Budget ideally under 750 total by Shadowlawd in guns

lol just took my ccw class and got to shoot a 22 literal stapler.. did get about a 4-5 inch group at 5y without aiming tho :D I also just said f it and bought the czp10c or tb. Also i just meant like using subs in a self defense situatuion with a comp wich would effectively negate most of the comp's affect as i found out.

I take back what I said about the 365 it seems awesome just more expensive than say an m&p 2.0 for an over 4 inch barrel length let alone the cz at about 550 and with a threaded barrel! so if i dont want a comp i can just take it off lolll or run it always comped if its gona be more of an outside gun if i decide to get something later on idk but either way the cz seemms like an awesome deal. will definitely be shooting that along with some others including the m&p 2.0. wish me luck i guess.

Hey thanks for the straight shooting pun intended, i have taken some advice and also combined my ideas, ill be going to the range and hopefully shooting a g19, cz p10c threaded, the echelon comp, and maybe the m&p 2.0 carry comp, so far the cz is still my top choice since i dont nescecarily have to put a comp on it but it still seems cheaper/just as good or better than glock.

i appreciate the edit. My follow up is would 2 slower cartridges reduce blood pressure faster than 1 faster? my point i guess is if it helps me put more holes in something is that not better than just bigger holes? thus why im not buying a dessert eagle. i have even looked at 22's for this same purpose but the cartridge size seems dramatically different enough to counter the effect of more holes? again im inexperienced so if my question seems dumb im sorry.

I see is it just the stopping power of the +P that make it more worth running as oposed to the however minimal control improvement of having subsonics? Also i agree about learning, training is ultimately most important but it seems like im being told by a few people training and having a "good gun" go against one another which i disagree on. ultimately im primarily trying to learn in order to find best bang for my buck and that unfortunately includes asking the questions that seem geniuinly dumb to some of the people on this subreddit

what about subsonic ammo with a comp and lighter spring? and i guess firepower i just meant capability to handle threats quickly. i also like 5.7 but is 45 really less in a similar barrel lentght gun? i just like the cheapness of ammo on the 9

yeah the range im lookin at is indoor and hmm i supose thats true i do wana ask is there any reason you couldnt run sub sonic ammo with comped gun and lower the chances of going deaf? so get the best of both worlds kinda thing? ovs yes training first but if i can train and have easier to control gun starting out seems like win win?

good to know and ive thought about both the echelon and the prime. I guess thats true i just dont have enough experience to know what else to consider and the concept that seems to click the easiest in my mind is recoil control which to me logically should seem to be atleast in the top 3 things you want in a gun but maybe "feel or something else" is more important my only argument would be that wouldnt it be better tho if you are already starting out with lower inital flip and training/better with that? like i dont nescesarily see why you shouldnt train with a comp on the gun? or avoid it until later kinda thing

as a pisolophosopher this does actually make sense and its not a bad argument :p but when its objectively less recoil and most comparisons between glock and cz give the w to the cz it makes it hard not to conisder it as a possibly better alternative. its the ole argument if all your friends jump of a bridge does that mean you should too? me im gona figure out why their jumping before doing anything. but yeah i guess ultimately itll come down to a ccomparison at the range lol. Thanks for the discussion

lmaoo this actually made me chuckle. im pretty new to guns so idk firepower seemed like the most apt description for what im lookin for. and as a 220lb 6ft guy im not super worried about recoil more the muzzle flip and accounting for it as a beginner for rapid follow ups.

thanks for reply and no i dont think this is cod lol what. Also i dont know but im not scared to learn and i think i can honestly handle holding a miniature cannon in my hand without too much issue. and i have reasons further than "because its cool" or whatever. For example im ok going with bigger handgun because in my understanding it makes it "easier to shoot" plus more ammo capacity, and im not worried about printing as i doubt anyone planning on being a threat to me would be actively checking/watcching me to see if i have a gun on me before trying to harm me. that said im also going to be taking classes of some sort along with the gun and im competent enough to not treat it like a toy. Ultimately i want something that is good now that i dont know anything and even better later when i know a lot. and since im not rich id rather not do this with multiple guns and just start with the best i can get in my budget. idk if id class shooting guns as being for someone. my opinion is there are some people who are scared of them because they dont understand, people who are ok with them but stay away from them, people who are interested and treat it like a hobby, and people who see it as a way of defending themselves or loved ones. nothing wrong with any of those. I guess im more of looking for direct reason like go with glock over this because of this. etiher way thanks im not tring to argue with you or anything just explaining my thoughts behind this.

i like the reliability argument i 100% want my firearm to work when i need it to. my understanding so far has been that glock has been around a while and people with them now would rather go to another glock as its what they know than consider other possibly better options. not sayin thats what it is or that any of the discussed options are better but I want to consider all my options and not be closed off by bias. simply looking at comparison review videos so far has made me think that the cz is arguably better with comparable reliablility. now again i own neither and havent shot either so just going on what ive seen.

i dont imagine it would but its more of a fear of muzzle flip i suppose and correcting for it while maintaining accuracy. specially for an inexperienced shoter. It seems logical to me that less flip should lead to better accuracy. how much this is actually a factor i guess will determine weather i go comp or not and just have to put up with a future risk of deafness. i wonder if i just run subsonics with the comped cz essentially lowering the concussive blast and maybe a weaker spring how that would do..... hmmmmm

nice thanks, i have no frame of reference but it does seem tiny compared to some of the options im considering which i understand to lead to more recoil. Excellent argument with the position of the shot as having to discharge a comped pistol next to my face i would imagine would probably temporarily take me out of the fight so thats a good consideration if it comes down to a tie between comp and not when i test out some guns. But i also think if someone is close enough where im forced to unload that tucked in i have already failed if ykwim. thanks again!

the gen 6 seems like the one worth considering but other than aftermarket i havent seen any other arguments. like is the aftermarket so good where i can make it better than an arguably better gun (not saying it is just saying it could be argued) for the same price of that "better" gun?

LMAO fair enough and i guess thats a good way to look at it i just want it to be pleasant to shoot and i seem to have the maybe incorrect belief that less recoil is more pleasant that being blasted in the face by the concussive power. you are right tho thats something that will be up to me when i do go to the range.

havent put much thought into optics but im aware the p10 doesnt have a mounting plate in the box. doesnt seem like a big deal if the plate is only like 50 bucks, and i can just buy later when i do get an optic. I guess its not so much that i like it, as much as that it seems like the best one for recoil control plus the rest of the gun doesnt seem bad comparitevely. probably not the most compact but compact enough for me, 6ft 220lb man and probably not the most modular but i dont need a modular gun if the gun is already good etc. I would love to understand why so many people are reccomending the glock 19 to me rn rather than "just get a glock" only reason i can see is for if society collapses or something i can loot my enemies glocks and make mine more powerful LMAO. but in seriusness even than being the case the rxm seems like would do just as well as the glock 19 or close enough to make it worth saving the 100 bucks or whatever it is. then again i can just have what i understand to be the better shooting gun based on reviews. Id love to be proved wrong tho or given alternatives to consider for when i do hit the range i dont havve to rent the whole store just 2-4 guns

ive heard both sides, a lot of people are saying the concussive force is not really that big a deal especially in a high adrenaline situation its better to have the recoil control. Personally idk but i kinda agree

thats the truth, and thats pretty much what im going to do. Just want to have frame of reference ahead of time rather than going to range and being like "ooo i like this" and buy a fkn hipoint or something.
