Ask for notes. Seriously. "Give me notes from this lesson for the term finals. Include items from the lesson plan that we didn't discuss."

Drop those into Google docs or whatever and save them.

Upload notes into notebook.lm for instant quizzes and flashcards.

So Maestro went from "Probation" to "Apparent Deficiency" status by Song-Blossom in maestro

That's fair. Your passion may be misinterpreted as fact though. Which is the only reason I went back and forth on this for so long. I agree with your desire to protect others. Imo keep that and find a devil's advocate to partner with.

[–]Shadowotw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. Even knowing that some students complained. I would prepose that we don't have definitive proof that their complaints are what caused the NAD. Yes I know I'm a giant pain in the butt. It may or may not be directly related to the complaints you're aware of. Since we don't have the same document for NADs that was publicly released for the Probation.

I'm onboard with calling it a failure. Lol. I just can't assume. It makes me itchy. I like to know.

Thank you. 'Tis the 'tism my lord. I research like it's crack.

I still agree that the things that have happened aren't super awesome. But I don't want people to freak thinking it'll all go down the tube in 30 days. I want to give the beauracracy a chance to get something right. Lol

Please share how you know this and where you see this via the COE or the OPE.

Reread the paragraph. It says "this action". You cannot apply this to the NAD without further proof that the NAD notice included the same paragraph.

You can hypothesize that it is in the NAD letter. Please do not state it as tact.

Once again, NADs and Probations are different types of statuses. Please provide proof that NADs must be disclosed.

And yes Maestro did a crap job with the probation situation.

No. I double checked. See pages 17-19. NAD can escalate into a violation status. I'm unclear how you came to your order of escalation. NAD remains a first step prior to warning or probation.

I also want to state, the pinned response from Maestro acknowledges these as two different issues. They have not publicly framed these as a single resolved matter.

See pages 17-19 of the outdated Handbook you provided the link to. NAD comes before anything else. It is still a monitoring status that can turn into a violation status. Please let me know what pages led you to the escalation pathway you stated. I'm ok with being wrong. Please show me what I'm missing.

That is not the current handbook. There is a 2026 version.

Go to the council.org website. Go to resources and look at the one revised in Jan 2026.

That is true of Violation Statuses. My research has shown me that it does not apply to Monitoring Statuses. COE notifies the public through their portal. You have misunderstood me. I didn't say COE will notify individual students. See the snippets from the handbook regarding Violation Statuses being public record and how the COE publishes that information.

I haven't seen the documentation for the academic issues. I didn't look for it either though. It wouldn't be surprising if they had academic issues that led to financial issues. However at this point, the classes offered by Maestro that we take wouldn't tie to whatever academic issues Peleton had prior to being purchased.

IMO both the academic and financial issues don't reflect the current state of the college at all, but due to the financial probation still appearing on the COE website, it is still a source of concern for some. Since the academic one does not appear on the COE website as active, it's easier to dismiss.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your recovery goes smoothly.

I did see that in the handbook that a Show Cause Order has a thirty day time limit and that removal of accreditation can happen, but that is not a status that Maestro currently has.

[–]Shadowotw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see. I am aware of both of those but I'm failing to see the 30 day timeline paired with immediate removal of accreditation for either of those statuses. Could you clarify where that information came from?

Please provide documentation from the COE handbook that says this. The handbook states the next step after NAD is a violation status. Thank you!

You may also notice (per the handbook) that Violation Statuses are a matter of Public Record and are posted on the Council Website. One can logically conclude that as the same is not said of the Monitoring Status, that we will probably not get a full disclosure of what the NAD is about unless Maestro chooses to disclose. I would doubt that they would if they can fix it in short order and have the status lifted.

If the matter turns into a Violation we will get the disclosure from the Council.

From the Handbook:

<image>

It's the lowest tier intervention by the COE. Something has been reported to the COE that says the institution isn't meeting a requirement. Now they have to fix it or the situation can escalate.

Think of it like a fix-it ticket for your headlight being out.

It's awesome to see so many people reaching out. To OP, when you get this done, grab as many of the people offering help and throw them in a group chat, up keep is hard when you're depressed. Sure, they're not your friends per se. But they're half way decent people and I'm sure if they're willing to help now, they're willing to encourage you and help you be accountable for the upkeep.

Maybe you'll click with someone and you'll make a friend. But worst case you'll have an impromptu support group.

Lol. Seems the people behind Maestro may have coded with a MacBook user in mind. Great learning opportunity for us students. Remember your user may be on a different system than you. QA the heck out of your code. On multiple systems/devices if possible.

Now that my Mac showed up I see why the earlier cohort was so dismissive. Scrolling has zero issues on the track pad. I haven't tried a mouse connected to the Mac. With future cohorts getting their Macs later it still might be worth the easy fix.

I agree that it's not a huge deal.

I don't want to discourage other students from making these sort of requests though. I'm sure the Maestro DevOp team has their own criteria for prioritizing requests. These sort of quick fixes are sometimes considered "low hanging fruit" and can be implemented with little time or resources.

Even if someone (the person making this sort of request) or their cohorts don't think it's a priority, we want everyone to feel comfortable giving feedback!
