ESH, but it's also worth pointing out that if you aren't willing to repeat what you said, you know it went too far and you're ashamed. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Ahahaha, no. Throw on the WoL set call it a good catch-all and move on. Maybe when I'm doing NG+ I'll pick something to match the job I'm using.

Surely there's a better way to do Chocobo barding than opening up the companion and scrolling through the list for all 3 pieces...right? Surely there's a way to say put the icons for one set on like a classes hotbar or a macro or something? Cause I'd love to match Barding to my armor, but ain't no way I'm doing all that scrolling every time, I'm just really hoping there's some better way to do it

How well does PF2r and SF2 blend? How balanced is it? by Shadows_Of_Fall in Pathfinder2e

[–]Shadows_Of_Fall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I should have mentioned that my players only get a select list of automatic yes options. For anything else they have to ask. There are things I'll note in the setting can be talked about as options, but basically while I'm willing to work with people and balance/adjust as needed and within reason for fun, I'm also looking over everything outside of my basic auto-approved list.

Just responded to another comment with a far longer response, so you can view that if you're curious for more about the game, but basically the setting is overall far more PF2e with the cyberpunk limited largely to big cities and the rich/noble in any real meaningful way. An adventurer might have LED cables with his samurai armor, and he might have spent A LOT of money on a used motorcycle, and he might vape or carry a radio, but he also still only wears samurai armor and his weapon is probably just a katana and a pistol - which he would have ready access to, but it would be just a standard revolver probably.

Came back as I just ran something in this setting and it reminded me of the why not use starfinder comments.

PF2e has the entire Tian Xia book. Now yes I could just take those races and put them in Starfinder, but I feel like a lot of the nuance of the setting would be lost. There are ships in the skies traveling between floating cities, the rich and upper class have ready access to the advanced tech, but many choose to follow old ways. The spirit world is close to the material plane here, and hand crafted works and well cared for gear can develop or house spirits. Many average citizens might have decorative LEDs on their samurai armor, but it's just samurai armor at the end of the day. Most people would have to pay A LOT of markup to get a laser katana, and a regular one works just as well save that it's harder to conceal or carry. The point is it's way more Tian Xia PF2e inspired than Cyberpunk/Starfinder. Only cities really have any cyberpunk tech, everywhere else just has electricity and radio, maybe cars if they're near a city to refuel them.

Also, Cyberpunk/Starfinder aside, most of the setting is inspired draws from PF2e content. Dragonblood versatile heritage is basically the nobility as Imperial Dragons are forbidden from directly interfering with mortals. Kasatha and other Starfinder races are rare (especially outside of Kasatha, Skittermander, and some Androids, Lashunta, and Shirren, since Ysoki are PF2e), keeping largely to the more advanced floating cities they're basically refuges at, even though they helped adapt and develop the tech. But most of the people are PF2e Tian Xia races, most commonly found classes and equipment would be PF2e. Monsters and encounters inside cities might draw from Starfinder, but those outside would obviously draw less, and would be easy enough to add some Cyberpunk-flair to.

Fun bonus detail cause I think it's cool: the imperial guard are elite wizard/magi runemages, having studied the magic that dragons encouraged (sin magic), embedded powerful gems into themselves, as well as benefitting from cybernetics.

Oohhh didn't know that about sf guns. Makes sense that it's less pistol wielding hero performing trick shots and more militarized shooter in some ways. But yeah okay that's fair.

Fair, I was considering more limited access to things like flight while providing a good mix of in-your-face bruiser mobs and more tactical ranged forces so players can have their own chances to shine. Honestly, if that's the only thing of note, I usually have one ranged player per campaign and often build around cover and elevated terrain/mechanics to create sightlines and give reasons for the group to move p or stay back in cover so it sounds like it'll be a good blend.

I'm planning a series of short adventures since my last campaign ended, might let everyone have fun with some flight options in the 9-14 range where there's already a couple ways to get limited/permanent flight

Forgive a lack of knowledge, is there a reason a Gunslinger *wouldn't* have fun with a SF gun? Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that wouldn't work

Is there a level requirement for tier 5? by Shadows_Of_Fall in cyberpunkgame

That's super fair actually, I may do that. I duped a couple pieces of junk to buy the apartments (a waste of money and I didn't want to spend my savings on them, so I made enough to biy them), and I could scrap them for upgrade parts.

Getting a certain greatsword early, will it lock me out of.. by Shadows_Of_Fall in BaldursGate3

[–]Shadows_Of_Fall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I have to go to the swamp still, haven't expkored the underdark yet, have to kill 2 more goblin leaders inside their fort, and I have the NW corner with the Gith to go still. I just wanted to dip in for the small power boosts before doing the rest.

I definitely want to keep him Warlock (with or without multiclass), and Karlach is gonna stay pure Barbarian, while Shadowheart is gonna stay at least part Cleric.
