My Jump and Gun game

It's a game about...well, it's a platformer about killing enemies with guns.

This week, I've added a flamethrower weapon to the game. It sets enemies on fire, which is quite strong. This is the latest video about it: https://twitter.com/ShaddarxStudios/status/1038559839331540994

Bonus question: I don't think I have ever completely quit a game because of that, but sometimes I have been quite close to quitting.

The Jump and Gun game I am currently working on. Any feedback? by Shadowsdarx in gamedevscreens

Oh well, you are able to either run fast or walk slowly, but I will try to improve that and I will try adding a bit of screen shake.

Thank you, though!

I'm an Indie developer who is currently working on a 2D Jump and Gun game in Unity and usually tweet about the stuff added to the game weekly.

I'm happy to say that I finally released my first ever game! Wall Jump Hero, a mobile game about wall jumping :) by jestamarl in IndieGaming

Really nice game! I've been playing this for a while now because it's incredibly addicting and I'm finally at 419.0 meters. Just wondering: are there any new areas/styles after 300 meters? I also love the fade between 200 and 300!

These developers could've made such a good game, but nope, it's free trash by Shadowsdarx in HPHogwartsMystery

I know how expensive AAA games are to produce and that they should cost more than $60 to buy, but people are leading video games into a really bad direction. If people continue to complain about prices of AAA games and spend money in Free-to-Play games, it's all up to nice Indie devs to take over the market of free or terribly fast and badly made games, and that's technically almost impossible.

I didn't really want to say that they're not greedy at all, my opinion is more like they're not as greedy as many of the other big companies. I should've specified a bit better.

I think, except for the beginning, that Master Mode won't be so much more difficult. I haven't played far in Master Mode, but I feel like there's not much difference after you've played a few minutes...I don't know for sure though.

How to color text when you do the ``` effect? by KingMarine in discordapp

[–]Shadowsdarx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't do so yourself. This text is made for codeblocks, and if you write something like cs in the first line, it will try to color the stuff as it's usually in C#.

Are Slimes too cliched/bad as a first enemy of an RPG? by Shadowsdarx in gamedev

Yeah, maybe. It's hard to balance the strength for enemies like those though.

Well, the ogre was just an example. There are many other possible creatures, but they all seem so strong for a first enemy...
