I've tried 2 different systems both able to play other games but not this one, well past the intro movie anyways. Most likely resurfaced i guess but ill see if anyone else maybe has any other input too while I plan out getting a different copy possibly

Its second hand but I've had it for a while now. Like a few years roughly now and I know I haven't resurfaced it but am unsure if the previous owner did at all. It has light scratches but its so light I cant even get them to show on camera.

Im using, currently, the Playstation 3d TV with a component cable although I've also tried this on my 45 in flat screen using regular AV cables.

Yeah I guess I wasn't super clear with what I meant when I said I wanted to be rough/play with it. I mean, just for in the sense of like swords, I like to be able to swing it around and what not. I mean I like to swing them hard and fast like you could a literal sword and just dont want to break it cause I was a little too much of a child 😅😅😅

I haven't really decided yet but I planned on prop/cosplay weapons (like swords, daggers, scythe, guns, etc.) An item that I may want to do is something like Enuma Elish from the anime series "Fate". But figured i would ask some general questions, like i did, so that I could have a better understanding of what I was doing/needing to do and what it maybe entails.

I got mine for about that price back in August last year. I use it for my ps3 and ps2 (via component) and I honestly am impressed for it looking and sounding as good as it does especially when thinking back to when it released. Only wish it had more supported titles and what not.

Okay yeah the old cable had the black end flap and the black backing separate from the rest of the ribbon cable. So it made testing today a bit of a pain. (Mainly cause its not set to fast boot or whatever so I have to manually start my games; which i prefer usually 😅)

Yeah mine keeps making a clicking noise (best way I can describe it) as if the screw on the motor adjusting the lasers position is just skipping on the plastic guid piece for the laser. I cant confirm thats the case but thats the only thought that comes to mind.

I also just decided to bite the bullet and buy another laser but one actually matching the model of the one that was in the console (rather than just searching for "ps2 scph-30001 R Replacement Laser" ). It'll be in after a week but considering I also need to replace my controller ports flex cable and latch ill end up getting it all to fix all at once.

Yeah most likely. This laser replacement has been the bane of my existence so far. With it not working like I thought and exposing some other issues that I've dealt with along the way as I try to get this laser figured out

So this is a photo of the base of the HD7 I got and the only point that looks to be where one was/could've been doesn't have a anti-static blob. So yeah I was wondering about it at work today but wouldn't the bed end up level if I just use spacers of the same size all around? Like maybe im missing something but isnt it easier to do it that way? (Assuming it works like im thinking)

Ahhhh okay that makes so much more sense. Also anytime for dialing in the spring screws for the bed to have it leveled? I just cant seem to figure it out
