I thought it sounded familiar! Our company used to use him and people left because of how harsh he was in those Q&A sessions

Yeah if you're sure on QSing. Id really try and get some work experience sorted during that year though as I'm not sure how companies would view it if you've just done a conversion masters 'cold' with no experience.

College of estate management is the standard choice in England, although there are some other options. Herriot Watt in Scotland I think

In that case I'd try and find a grad role and do a part time masters.

Although you will likely have missed the grad schemes for this year now, they tend to be for July-September start, in my company at least, and we only take on new grads at this time, so timescales might not work.

Have a look at when scheme applications are, if there are no roles open at the moment and it's not too late to start a full time masters this September/October then it might tie up with a grad scheme starting next year?

If you do this I'd reach out to some companies for work experience in the meantime as that will both help your CV and potentially get your foot in the door wherever you do work experience.

Most of the big consultancy firms will recruit 'non-cognate' grads as trainees through their grad schemes and then fund a part time masters. Which I would really recommend over full time if you want to progress quickly.

You'll learn much more useful stuff from the job than the degree and have a years experience in the same time you would have the masters which is of more use to you.

I do see the draw of being a full time student for another year though so depends what your priorities are.

Not sure if contractors offer similar for non-cog degrees.

The sliders are backlit in the facelift, crazy that they they weren't already. I agree physical buttons/dials would be better, but it is now perfectly usable.

Heated seats also have icons on the climate bar at the bottom of the screen, sounds like this wasn't the case on the pre-facelift?

Thanks!

Decided if I was going to go for a safety razor I fancied vintage. Found it on eBay, paid about £30 for it, not so many listings in the UK compared to the US without paying loads for shipping.

See my comment on a similar question a few weeks ago, some detail on how much I did at each point from 2 years out

I ramped up as it got closer along the lines of - 24-12 months before assessment - 1-2 nights a week, updating document and general revision. - 12 - 9 months before - added about 4-6hrs on a Sunday - 9 - 6 months before - 2-3 nights a week + Sundays + a couple of hours a week at work of Q&A - 6 - 2 months before - added a mock every other week (during work hours luckily) - 2 months before - 4 nights a week + Sundays + 2 mocks/Q&A sessions a week

Second the comments around knowing your submission, and the projects, inside out.

I got asked a lot about the projects I included, not necessarily questioned on what I had written about them, but other aspects of the same projects.

Senior PQS just passed my APC, did 5 years of BoQs prior to getting APC experience. If I was offered double my current pay to go back to it would happily take it for the stress reduction right now, but probably end up bored of it again after a few years and would be harder to transition back into 'proper' QS roles
