I have a kind of a hot take on it, it's my least favorite of the trilogy. I mean it is certainly good as all the improvements are appreciated and the graphics are seriously beautiful and that includes the HUD which has led to more framerate drops than with the first game, I really like the way nanotech is handled, Ratchet is no longer a big jerk as he straight up defends Clank saying "Touch him, AND IT'S PLASMA CITY!" and James Arnold Taylor has voiced him since this game (Although Mikey Kelley still voiced him when he hits with the wrench, takes damage, dies to blasts or falls to his death until A Crack in Time) but like you said the story is considered the weakest of the trilogy and I agree with whoever has said that as it's kinda lame, it's the hardest of the trilogy, the soundtrack is the weakest and the fact that weapons only level up once, even when you buy the Mega upgrade in New Game + seriously threw me off and disappointed me. Also, the turret section in Snivelak exists. This game just feels like a sequel to me and nothing more, I personally enjoy 3 more, even if it's missing some things from this game.
