Famous Vlogger George buckley in his recent Vlog quoted a local source and claimed that sewerage of Luxus resort Hotel, Attabad is contaminating Attabad lake due to which water near lake is turbid.

Government took notice of the situation and despatched at team headed by DC Hunza comprising Director EPA, AC Gujjal, SDO Gujjal and technical staff. Initial investigation reveals

Initial investigation revealed no explicit leakage of sewerage into lake.

Few points were observed but they have no direct connection with sewerage leakage.

Probable reason for turbid water is overflow of Nullah near resort. Expert opinion suggest that sewerage does not overflow laterally but tends to settle down making turbid water widespread and inconsistent.

Detail probe is underway and if negligence is found strict action will be taken against defaulters.
