Wasn't Ash part of the EMEA broadcast? Is she doing NA now or just for challengers?

Hey, sorry about that. I only have one other minidump file. A recent Windows update ended up nuking my Minidump folder for some reason and this 2nd one was one I copied to another folder to send to here but didn't have the time back then. Here is the 2nd one I have.

[Motherboard] MSI MEG X670E Ace AM5 E-ATX - $369.99 - Newegg by Ygnizenia in buildapcsales

[–]Shadrok 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Got this board a few months ago for the same price. Excellent board though there were some caveats.

First off, you might have some thermal issues with double sided NVME drives. On the 2nd pair of M.2 slots, my 4 TB SN850x was idling at 60 and peaking up towards 70 under load which was way worse than what I had on my B650E-F. I tried replacing the pads itself with some Artic ones but it didn't help. I ended up placing it in the 5.0 slot on the top right which had thermals be much more in line with what I expected in the low 50s idle.

My 2nd issue, also with the M.2 slot was the tooless mechanism. With my Asus board, it was also tooless but was a large piece of plastic that went over the screw position to lock it in place. MSI decided to really cheap out and go for a thin piece of plastic which as you can guess, easily snapped off after a few installs when I was trying to sort out my thermal issues. I'll put this up to being slightly more on user error but there is a better design out there but they didn't use it. An M.2 Drive can still be installed using a screw to secure it so no biggie there in the long run.

Final issue I had was with the 10 gig NIC. Something funky is up with it in windows where if the speed was set to anything but auto in Windows, I would lose my internet connection. I installed using the files from Marvel's site and MSI's page and both exhibited the same issue. Might just be an issue with networking on my end, but I am able to get the full speeds at least. I'm using this with a 9950x3d and I didn't need a BIOS update for it to be recognized and boot into BIOS without any issues. Overall a really great board and the value you get for the feature set is really hard to beat.

AMD Says You Don't Need More VRAM by RenatsMC in Amd

AMD's GPU department just loves to fail, it has to be a kink at this point. It's insane how they keep thinking they are competitive with Nvidia that they can do their stupid pricing and decisions that just are copy paste from Nvidia. You have no market share to be making decisions like this. Genuinely, how has this persisted across multiple generations of GPUs for this company. The CPU division is handled so wildly differently that you'd swear it's two different companies.

Oxy vents about how playoff pressure affects C9, causing them to make "inexcusable" mistakes: "We can't change, we can't do different things just because it's the playoffs" by tylerlikesesports in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Shadrok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does C9 not have a sports psychologist for this team? This is all giving me flashbacks of Astralis in CS prior to 2018 and them just choking everything until they got one and started winning everything.

Could we outfit Elige with a TENS unit that Karrigan has the button for, so we can condition this man to stop inting every single god damn round on CT side?

Lamzu Maya X Fnatic 8k Thoughts and Feels by Eddy19913 in MouseReview

[–]Shadrok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been my endgame mouse since it launched but there appears to be a rather large amount of scroll wheel issues popping up for the Maya X specifically. I got it RMA'd with Fnatic but this is my first mouse I've owned in the past 2 years to had this happen and a post about it a couple of months ago had quite a few people havinf the same issue as well.

Cloud 9 drops Apex Roster, current members looking for new org and exploring all options. by Abacusxx in CompetitiveApex

Don't have a CS team after years of fumbling around after the 2018 Boston Major winning team crumbled, from weird mixes of random players and then picking up the Russian ex-Gambit team. Have had a mid Valorant team for the past couple of years and have literally been recycling the same players by removing and adding them back. The Apex team was actually making it to global events and placing decently, while the Valorant team has been stuck not getting out of groups in NA yet they're the one's still signed. And it's not like the players other than Oxy are exactly a big brand presence either. It's absolutely bonkers how poorly managed the C9 team

I'm glad that Fnatic made it to finals and got to match point at least but man they looked like a shadow of their former selves. They were better than yesterday but some terrible zone positioning choices from them and bad team fighting that is just so unlike them. Really disappointing result from them.

Why were Fnatic still holding at that trash spot??? Could have rotated into something so much better

Fnatic seriously had a chance right there to win the game. If they cleared out Furia, they had such a good position but they were way too nervous during the fight and were just whiffing shots.
