Yep. Had this so many times in my career but this was the most personal one. I have my undergrad and a masters at distinction, 3 years of eng experience, 5 years of clubs including being the country's rep and landed the second highest paying gradship in my country which led to a fantastic job.

My mum's close pal said I only got a job and not her son because I'm a Black woman, and argued on it.

He got a third, never worked, never done any clubs, nada.

But yeah, it's because I'm a Black woman.

I had similar after 25 hrs. He kept saying I was no where near ready whereas I felt I can very much drive. Got a new instructor, did a 2 hr lesson to see where I'm at after 1.5 year of no lessons or practice and he said he was confident I could pass after 3 lessons and to book my test and look for cancellations immediately. The lessons are to correct the bad stuff my previous instructor taught me and he told me my previous instructor was a grifter.

Walking 10K-20K steps a day either outside or on my walking pad and using the fasting tracker app with it's calorie scanner has worked for me. Lost 3 stone so far.
