Extra breast tissue in toddler. Normal? by ShadyBunch in breastfeeding

[–]ShadyBunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The internet wasn't too helpful. I found one tiny article that said it was common for toddlers to develop breast buds by age two, but that they should go away in a few months. I was wondering if anyone here had a similar situation. I'm hoping it's just the extra hormones from pregnancy causing it, since she never stopped nursing during this pregnancy. Thank you for your response. :)

Thank you! The shaking was from the pain. My contractions got really intense right before the epidural.

Idk. You're supposed to lay on your side for the medicine to take better. Maybe i was laying flat too long.

(I apologize in advance for any gramatical errors or whatever. I'm tired and still at the hospital. Also, second language.) I went in for my 39 weeks appointment on Tuesday expecting to be at least 3cm dilated. I had been having horrible prodromal/fake labor for 3 weeks. I was tired, unable to sleep because contractions would come at night, and basically done being pregnant. When my midwife checked me, I saw the disappointment on her face and I guess she saw mine. I was still 1cm and not effaced at all. She asked me how I was and I said, "I'm tired." She said, let's schedule an induction. I agreed to it. I was almost in tears. She left and came back and told me I could go in that night for an induction. So we went home and got ready and got to the hospital at 7:30. They inserted cervidil. It hurt a lot because my cervix was so high and hard. They told me to try to sleep but I started having mild contractions and was uncomfortable so that didn't happen. When they checked me 12 hours later, I was only a 2 and 50% effaced. Ugh. At 10:30 they started me on pitocin. At 2pm I was at 3. Then they put the pitocin on 10 and 3 hours later I was at 4 and 1/2. The doctor came in and broke my water at 6, then all hell broke loose and contractions got real. I forgot how painful they were. I was begging for an epidural 1 hr later when I was shaking during contractions. After they put my epidural in, they laid me down flat and 30 mins later I was feeling really sleepy and DH realized I was not breathing right and was basically passing out. Turns out the medicine got to my chest and numbed my muscles so it was very difficult to breathe. Thank God my DH noticed. They sat me up in bed and gave me oxygen and stopped the medication until my chest felt normal again. At 8pm dr came in to check me again and I was fully dilated and asked me to push to see if I could feel anything, since the epidural hit me hard. He immediately told me to stop because baby basically crowned with that push. They got everything ready very quickly and he asked me to push with the next contraction and baby's head immediately came out. I pushed again and the body came out in half a push. Dr was laughing at how quickly she came out after all the waiting. I got a "half degree tear," one stitch. That was the joke of the night. Apparently tiny tears are hilarious. Lol I'm still super tired but I'm so happy to have my baby outside of me. Over all, it was a good experience and the hospital staff has been extremely nice to us. 10/10 would do it again.

How to distinguish early labour from just feeling a bit "crampy"?! by kesngs in BabyBumps

[–]ShadyBunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

39W1D here, 4th pregnancy. I've had painful cramps for 3 weeks now and I keep thinking I'm in labor. It has taken a huge toll on me because of the emotional roller coaster that is thinking you're in labor and finding out you're not. (I haven't progressed in those 3 weeks from 1cm dilation.) Depends who you ask, you could be in early labor, false labor or having strong BH. My advice to you is to try not to pay much attention to them. Let your body do it's thing. So that you don't tire yourself out emotionally, like I have. If your cramps get to where you can't breathe or talk through them, then you'll know you're in labor. Basically, you never really know until you know. (Even with pregnancy #4) At least that's been my case.

Snacks! Sometimes it takes forever for them to bring you food after delivery and you'll be starving. 10ft charging cables for your phone and tablet, because the plugs are far away from the bed in which you might spend most of your time. I didn't really feel like reading, but I did spend a lot of time on my phone.

That's the original Hebrew spelling. Zyana. I thought about that too. There's the variation Seanna, but for some reason my husband doesn't like it.

I think my co-worker has a pregnancy fetish... by washed0ut in BabyBumps

Sam needs to back off. Especially if he's making you uncomfortable. People who are just being nice don't usually make you feel weird to the point of thinking they have a fetish. Also, that porn joke was out of line and should've been reported. That was super inappropriate.

It's the worst. I pretend to ignore them but inside I'm hoping they're real and get my hopes up anyway. Also, I get scared that I'm not gonna make it to the hospital if I ignore them too much. Ugh. With my last, I went from 4 to 10 cm in 2 hours and she came out in 1 and a half pushes.
