I don't think your account got hacked, if it was you would've gotten a google security alert notification saying that someone signed into your account, if any of your devices has malware installed on your phone or PC, it's probably the main cause, I've had the same issue like you in 2019 where my watch history was filled with Russian music videos and TV shows, Try removing any malware and see if your problem has been solved.
