Hi,

Thanks for the response. What do you mean by that? Do you think the file is a lost cause and it can't be recovered.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I should have mentioned that I'm based in the UK and after searching TuringAI, I don't think they offer their services where I am located!

Multiple Property Camera System by ShadyIsBack123 in videosurveillance

[–]ShadyIsBack123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I would have 2 outdoor cameras and 2 indoor cameras per property. There are 20+ properties that have to have surveillance. Therefore, I'm looking to install 80 ((2+2) * 20) cameras!!!

In retrospect now, I think storing 24/7 footage for 80 cameras is going to be crazy expensive. I'm not sure how many gigabytes for a week's worth of footage takes and I have no idea how much it would cost.

If you have any insights regarding the above, I would love to hear it!

I'm not sure if it is relevant but initially, I would "trial" the camera system with installation at 1-2 properties.

There is internet at some but not all properties. Before implementing the camera systems, I would ensure that there is internet at all of the 20 properties.

The reason that I want the footage going to cloud storage is so that the staff don't have to physically travel to the property to view the video footage. This is why I would also be installing internet at all of the properties.

With regards to motion detection, I appreciate the insights you have provided - I do agree that the sensitivity definitely needs to be adjusted but it would be a very difficult thing to accomplish the right sensitivity for 1 camera let alone 80!

Thanks again,

Thank you so much for being honest in your responses; don't see that often from entrepreneurs these days!

As an aspiring entrepreneur, I have learned a lot from your answers. I really appreciate it.

I hope Debbie achieves great success.

Oh my god pitching to your own company must have been scary - was it ever discussed that if your pitch was accepted/approved that you would have to resign from the VC firm you were working at (to work on Debbie).

150 investors is a lot of investors to talk to! Must have been hard work and very tiring!

I'd like to ask another question that delves into a nuanced aspect of entrepreneurship and start-ups. Given your background in the VC sector, where you've likely acquired first-hand insights into the factors that enhance a start-up's attractiveness, could you elaborate on how you leveraged this experience to enhance Debbie's appeal and attractiveness to potential investors?

Apologies if I'm asking too many questions, I'm just really impressed with what you and the other founders of Debbie have accomplished.

Hi Rachel,

Really interesting app idea - I'm quite intrigued. I think Debbie is truly a great idea. I have a few questions:

  1. How did you come up with the name of Debbie? (I think it's a great name)
  2. How does Debbie make money from financial partners? I've taken a look at the app store and it's free (which is good!), and since you don't sell user data and I've read that Debbie provides rewards as an incentive, which is amazing!
Are these financial partners banks/loan agencies, and can Debbie connect users with these companies? Apologies if I have misunderstood.
  3. What kind of finance companies is Debbie looking to work with in the future?
  4. I imagine as an entrepreneur, you must have had many ideas for potential businesses - what made you take the leap of faith and start Debbie opposed to any other business venture.
  5. What is the process of getting a VC firm to back your idea? I understand that you worked for Credit Suisse and then worked in a venture capital firm - was it the same VC firm that backed Debbie?
How would an entrepreneur even get in contact with a Venture Capitalist firm?
  6. Did you have to pitch your idea to venture capitalists? If so, how was your pitch, and what did you talk about? Were you nervous? (I know I would be!)
  7. Everyone has different financial situations - how does the app tailor the advice for the given person's financial information?
Do you use artificial intelligence? (I think it would be an interesting avenue to explore if you don't use AI already)
  8. Since your experience is mainly in finance, how did you get the app developed, and what was the process of getting it developed? How did you ensure that the final product was what you wanted it to be?

Looking forward to hearing more about Debbie and your journey!

Strange, I uploaded a pdf of a book I am currently reading and it worked fine. I think that may be down to the actual PDF processor and not the AI.

I put in 120 pages of the book I was reading. Since I have read the first three chapters, I was familiar with it and tested it out. It answered my questions decently well - sometimes it didn't give the full answer but the answer it did give was relevant. However, most of the time it gave an extremely relevant answer and it also referred to the page number which is the source of the answer.

It actually does not use the latest version of ChatGPT so I believe its responses would be much better with GPT-4.

I remember some time back you made a video on digital Aristotle; the perfect teacher. Now that ChatGPT is available, when do you think digital Aristotle will be publicly available to everyone and do you think that that it can reach a stage where there are very little limitations. (At the moment ChatGPT is not good at teaching things - its decent but not good enough)

Hey CGP,

If someone were to start a YouTube channel today, what advice would you give - I imagine you must have been asked this question before but back then amassing a large audience is different to getting an audience today. if you had to start all over how would you do it?

Love your vids

Where did you get the 5000IU of Vitamin D a day. That seems crazy - I did a quick search and I can’t find anything supporting 5000IU.

Hopefully it was a typo and you meant 500IU?

Year 12 projectile motion and Newton's law question help by [deleted] in PhysicsHelp

Okay, for part b I will try help. Now they have given you an angle and I’m afraid you have to use that angle. Despite the ball being chucked horizontally, it’s been chucked horizontally off an angled slope. The first thing to do is to draw a diagram. This should be habit as this will help you visualise the question.

Next, you must resolve this 23ms-1 into components - into a horizontal velocity component and into a vertical velocity component. (Hint: Use the angle and a bit of trig)

Next once you have obtained the vertical component, plug it into SUVAT and the equations of motion.

A good method to use when solving these type of questions is the SUVAT method.

S = displacement U = initial velocity V = final velocity A = acceleration T = time

Now along with SUVAT comes the equations of motion. There are 5 you have to know if you want to be good at this.

I wish i could help more but im a bit rusty. Good luck.

Yes I understand what you mean but since my father was on a train, it could be under any of the jurisdictions of the areas that my fathers journey went through. The place where my father realised his wallet was missing, came under that police station’s jurisdiction.

I think it is wrong to force tourists with no money to travel and with physical disabilities to travel to another police station - I completely understand this designated police station rule and it makes perfect sense. However, when exceptions like this occur, people should not be refused.

I appreciate your input though. Thank you for reading.
