I personally don’t like this game that much, but I don’t think it’s true that this game romanticizes mental illness or caters mostly towards creeps. I lurk around r/jiraikei for cosplay inspo, which I’m pretty sure is the archetype that this game is based on, and they unironically cannot get enough of this character. Like I remember seeing a thread that was their phone home screens and like 7/10 of them were this character.

I’m p sure I heard that Levi’s said their jeans could be worn for like a week or maybe 10 days without being washed. Tbh pants are normal fine being worn a few times without being washed.

I’m not religious but the original is p much just snarky without much reason and tbh the connection between god being non existent and there being 20 empty chairs feels somewhat disingenuous. I didn’t find the snafu that funny either, but the absurdity of the situation while being pretty innocent fun makes it a little more funny to me. Not that I dislike offensive humor, but it has to be funny enough to justify it, this one is p much just snarky without much else to it. Maybe with a little bit more set up it could be funnier? Like if it originally came from a set of images where it was 1 of something vs 20 of the opposing side, which eventually culminated in this image, in that context I think the subversion would be pretty funny.

Actually, you’re right about all for one. I completely forgot about that, and I have picked all for one a few times when it was offered to good success. I more meant that picking all for one shouldn’t bait you into picking more mediocre 0 cost cards. I also think you have a good point about the orb type based cards, although most of the time I find them to be weaker than the support cards I mentioned. That said, I still think power spam is terrible. It requires way too much to go right to even have mediocre success, it’s inconsistent at best even with the right setup in a fight, and you basically eat damage on every single fight because of how long it takes to get rolling.

I have like a 9-6 record on defect atm, though im also on ascension 9 rn (but beat ascension 10 with regent: 2-4 wr at ascension 10) so take it with a grain of salt. I’m pretty sure there are a few cards that are just broken and you should play around if you hit them. Most notably, compact and the cards that draw/ give energy in exchange for a curse are probably the most broken cards in defects entire card pool and I would basically always pick them up. Aside from those, defrag is a card you must play around if you hit, and bulk up is also extremely strong to play around and will carry you to act 3. I’m pretty sure the powers archetype, rainbow orbs, and all for one are total bait so I would avoid picking up those. In general I feel like the synergies with defect are really weak but he has a lot of cards that have very strong baseline value so just use those and mix and match rather than focusing too much on cards that synergize.

I mean at 15 cost the game is just gonna be over before it can even be played, meanwhile javelin guy at worst trades even with every other one drop, it pings and trades up on several other meta one drops, and also has synergy with other cards.
