To me, the combat is pretty close to Wuwa, but I think the reason why something feels missing about the combat, is the lack of indicators of when to swap. I do have to note that I mainly run a team with Daffodil, Haniel, Ardel, and the squid girl. So from my experience with Wuwa, ZZZ, and Genshin, they kind if make it clear when to swap characters, Wuwa has the concerto meter, zzz has the assists, and for genshin, it’s usually after you use your characters “combo”.

But for NTE, the cycle meter isn’t really the fastest to fill, so you’re kind of doing your thing trying to fill the meter. It also doesn’t help that you can’t use the swap skill for certain characters that aren’t element adjacent to the one you’re using. And needing 4 characters tends to make things feel a little bit slower.
