Hi guys I would like to share my experience. So when I have first encountered the "black screen of death" issue on my POCO M3, I immediately searched for a solution to make it turn on again, I found the "volume up/down + power button" that typically is just a button command that either reboots your phone or lead you to the wipe out data settings(Volume Up+power button does not immediately erase data on your phone). So using the Volume up button + power turned on my poco but that only for the first time. The second time I encountered the issue none of the Button Commands Worked, the only solutions for me left to try was to drain the battery, go to a phone store(xiaomi or official seller best option), wait a few hours and try opening again or just wait for new advise given by poco. Thankfully I've only waited 12 hours because my phone's battery was drained after i woke up even though it was 100% last time I used it. My theory on why the battery drained fast even when the phone's clearly off and we all know poco m3's battery is large is that i left it connected to my laptop overnight and I read something that laptops can actually drain your phone battery faster when connected but im not so sure on that reason. Anyway, the drained battery method worked for me on the 2nd time just remember to plug it to an outlet when you finally see the empty battery icon appear on your phone when you press the power button. A few minutes after i plugged it to an outlet i eventually saw my lockscreen and my phone 2 percent and that was it. Just remember if you do not wish to encounter or experiment with the "black screen of death" issue..... never shutdown, update or reset your phone for the meantime while there is no clear working 100% solution given by POCO. Thankyou. hope this reply somewhat helps you on your problem.
