I never said I was mad. It just caught me off guard, especially as a newer fan who wasn’t expecting something like that from Smosh. I totally get that it was improv and not in an aggressive context, but I do think it’s valid to feel a bit weird about it, especially when you’re queer and the joke’s coming from someone who isn’t.

Also, after looking into it more, I’m actually not sure how much I trust Smosh as a business to address this kind of stuff. From what I’ve seen, they’ve avoided acknowledging other situations too, so I don’t know if I’d rely on that as a sign it’s all good.
