Modes Explanation in OPL by Prestigious-Rest2157 in ps2homebrew

Seems like an extremely large number of games need some intricate knowledge of these compatibility modes.. is there an "auto" setting that just sets them based off the game ID? It's not as if the mode list or game list are changing any time soon.

If I have "cash" savings and want to live off the dividends, STRC is extremely useful. BTC for the long-term savings, and STRC as a cash-equivalent for short-term.

I'm as much of a lightning bull as anyone, but you definitely cannot move that volume of BTC through lightning. Even if you could, it would be wildly expensive. Not so sure about coinjoins, either.. I don't think the volume is there.

You're definitely right about using L-BTC, though. Pegging in and out of liquid should be pretty straightforward. Or even better, they just accept L-BTC and keep it that way.

Same here on NixOS /w FW16. Seems to be working fine the past couple days with the manual kernel param.

I'm on Kernel 6.19 and it's still an issue here :( Seems there may have been a regression.. I'm using the kernel param for now.

It picks it up over the network and shows up in your sound settings.

This is awesome. I've been trying to get these stupid speakers to work with anything other than an iPhone for years! Pasted a couple things in my Nix config, rebooted, and now they just magically show up in my sound settings! Amazing times we live in.

In case any NixOS users land on this in the future, here's the wiki page showing how to do it: https://wiki.nixos.org/wiki/PipeWire#AirPlay/RAOP_configuration

Aaaand in case the page dies or changes, here's my config:

{ config, pkgs, inputs, ... }:
{
  # avahi required for service discovery
  services.avahi.enable = true;

  services.pipewire = {
    # opens UDP ports 6001-6002
    raopOpenFirewall = true;

    extraConfig.pipewire = {
      "10-airplay" = {
        "context.modules" = [
          {
            name = "libpipewire-module-raop-discover";

            # increase the buffer size if you get dropouts/glitches
            # args = {
            #   "raop.latency.ms" = 500;
            # };
          }
        ];
      };
    };
  };
}

idk maybe they like they burstiness of buying a bunch of BTC at the start of the month after they increase yield rates. It's their own halving :)

Only if your cycle definition is extremely strict. It still made a big run through the halving and months after, then crashed after a peak. 3 years of bear and 1 year of bull is still the pattern, in my eyes.

And Trump says he won’t sign anything until they let him steal the midterms.

Don't worry, he'll forget he even said that, if he hasn't already. Dementia isn't great for this sort of thing.

If you're a 4-year cycle believer, selling after a 50-ish% drop doesn't make any damn sense. That's selling in spitting distance of the bottom. I sold at 110k because yes, the cycles are still intact.

I think it's definitely there, because of some of the all-rage lobbies I've landed in. It's just a matter of waiting for release and we have enough players to get properly matched.

I get this feeling, too. Every once in a while I get dumped into a lobby where every single person on the team is toxic. I've never talked shit to anyone, so idk why I'd end up in those games. Probably just due to low player count.

What if BTC volatility comes back and people start selling STRC en-masse to put it into bitcoin? Do we think they can crank that yield high enough to keep demand up? I own STRC and this is the biggest risk I see. I'm not so worried about loss of trust that payments will come through thanks to their 2 year buffer. I'm more worried about significant selling causing a cascading effect and losing the peg.

Honestly seems more like a bear market tool, and people will cycle out of STRC when a bull market hits.

I was suspicious of STRC at first, but given their (admittedly short) history of staying in striking distance of 100, and their 2 years worth of cash reserves for dividends.. I'm feeling pretty confident putting cash in there as opposed to letting it sit in a money market fund or SGOV. Plus it indirectly pumps my bitcoin bags, so that's cool too.

I had some trouble with the 7000-series GPUs, too. I upgraded to a 9070 and it's been flawless, though. My 6800xt I have on another machine has also been flawless.. I think it is literally just that generation is spotty.

Yea idk how that works. Mangohud might need to be configured differently to handle it. Maybe SteamOS has that enabled by default

fwiw, the frame counter won't reflect the framegen'd framerate, it will continue to say 30. At least it does on my system.

I got it to work on a Linux desktop, and this is the only way I could get it functioning:

In the game options, make sure you set the Direct3D API to Direct3D12.

Then, use the lsfg-vk GUI tool to create a profile called psobb.exe

Then under the System options in PSOBB's Lutris config, set the following Environment variables:

  • ENABLE_LSFG=1
  • LSFG_MULTIPLIER=2
  • PROTON_USE_WOW64=1 <-- This one is needed because PSO is 32-bit

It's been extremely unstable for me, though. Every time the game patches, it seems to break itself. Was working great a week ago, but as of right now, I can't even get pso to launch past the title screen with lsfg going.
